It does sound odd, although “Congregation of the Great Spirit” apparently is an American Indian parish.

Inquiring minds want to know:

cwnews.com/offtherecord/offtherecord.cfm?task=singledisplay&recnum=3985

or straight from the Diocese: archmil.org/events/ShowEvent.asp?ID=5538&date=12/17/2006

What is Bishop Sklba doing? What is a “Winter Colstice Celebration”? And what kind of church is the “Congregation of the Great Spirit”?
Well, Pagans are not Satanists, and I read that the White Witches met with one of the Popes. I think it was JP2.
I could be wrong but I think that it’s Winter "S"olstice.

:o Yes, well if people have been reading my posts, you all know that I am no typist! That you for the correction; is is Solstice.

Another interesting thing. The Winter Solstice is always on December 21 (astronomically speaking). So why have this on the 17th? Is it just because it is the closest Sunday to the Solstice? Why not “Celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent!”?
