Because they aren’t casting out demons. At best, they are annoying them into silence for a bit, and at worst they are taking them on or sending them to other people.

Basically, it’s like letting an 18th-century doctor operate. They really had no idea what they were doing and more times than not made things worse.

The people in the Bible who were driving out Demons in Jesus’ name were likely part of a clerical hierarchy. They were not just random people.
