Nope… I disagree. When have I acted demeaning to you?
Maybe you mistake passion for demeaning.
Nope and I am answering in a charitable way. I may be a bit old, but I do know the difference between passion and demeaning.

So the freemasons do the same things… Are they also a good representation of the original Church?

If this is all God wants from us, (peace, love happiness) then -who was the God from the OT who asked for sacrifices and was all-powerful?
I dont know much about them but I have my doubts about the truthfulness of your statement. are you sure you stand by it? the OP asked how my church resembles the Church of the Bible, It didn not say that in order to post that I needed an exhaustive list of similarities. Also the claim that some other belief system is similar and false ergo my belief system must also be false is not sound logic.

Although the Catholic Church does indeed support the needs of the poor, elderly, etc. It is not her main mission…

I also dont think that spreading the Gospel is her main mission, since the world already knows it. The Pope has called for Truth in Charity, not persuasions to Christianity.

I think the Churches mission on earth is to mirror the moral structure of God’s Kingdom in heaven here to the earth.

Am I wrong?

-also-

Wasn’t this the mission of the Apostles of Jesus? - And so the Catholic Church is the same as she’s always been… Just the times have changed around her.
So Jesus said go into all the world and teach them all that I taught you. But the RCC says its done dont worry about that. Yet in the old testament you are told be fruitful and multiply, and 71/2 billion people later and you say NOT FINISHED! If You do not think it is necessary to continue teaching the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ you are missing the central component of THE church. I hope that I either misunderstand you or you misunderstand the RCC.

Sorry I meant Jehovahs Witnesses

Actually, correct that again, i mean i always admire you Church of Scientology

Heck, it doesnt matter what you belive as long as you pick up a Bible and pray
yes, definitely pity.

so, how protestants congregations resembles the Church of the Bible?

:bowdown::highprayer::byzsoc:

Maybe I didn’t say that. Actually I believe in all 7, just had to leave before I got them all down. The Sacraments are not necessarly the problem for me.
so, i know you have the right to believe whatever you want. not us Catholics, we must believe all that the Church teaches. she is our Mother, therefore, we listen, obey, because it is pleasing to God that we do this.
now, do you believe you have the authority to determine which teachings of the Catholic are in according wiht the Bible or not?

How did you come to this conclusion?

Yes, conform, conform, conform.
is it not what the Word of God says? we must be conformed to His teachings? how can we do this? only through the Church the CC, listen and obey. i am not saying that you have to do this. i am only telling you what us Catholics do.

conform, conform… yes. we Catholics must be conformed. thanks be to God.

But if your Church does not do at least everything that the Apostles promoted -then?

Well see thats what the CC does and you believe it is right because it says so?
you see, that is what the Bible says. we must obey the Church Jesus found. because it is the Church who teach us. it is not me and my Bible that teaches others.

it is not the Bible alone that teaches us. the only you believe this is because somebody told you this. and you believed. that is fine with me, if that is good enough for you.

we Catholics know that Jesus gave us a Church to teach us and lead us, and protects us against false teachings. that is us Catholics, you dont have to believe in anything the Church teachings. we as Catholics do. thanks be to God for His Church.

My problem I have a hard time conforming to rules, that are not in the Bible. And i get introuble here when I say that. But I do not hide much in my life.👍
and what rules are they? that is not in the Bible.

i dont know how anyone would go to a Church that teaches what is not in Bible. since you know all this and have the authority to determine such. why would you? arent you free to leave?

Why do you say that I said that the Church is “done” spreading the gospels? Besides, arent there plenty of printed Bibles in the world for one to read?

I just disagree that spreading the gospels is the Churches PRIMARY mission for today…

Today, the Pope calls for truth in charity…

You prove that it isn’t, or do you just like to argue? Me thinks the latter. Anything we do in Jesus name is Glorious. Read Matt. 25:40.
for us Catholics that includes to love His Bride. the Church of the living God, the Pillar and Bullward of the Truth. we love the Church our Mother. i know this is pleasing to Him. how can we Catholics love the Bridegroom and not His Bride? it is impossible.

As one of the posters likes to say frequently, without explanation, :amen:

We love one another, pray together and for one another. We read the scriptures together and spread the good news of the gospel by supporting missions around the world. We help each other and meet each others needs. We care for widows and orphans as this is true religion. We feed the hungry and homeless and have a jail ministry to visit those who are locked up. Lives are being radically changed. it is very simple and not fancy.
really? is it not because of this that protestants have been condemned the CC for centuries? for doing works of charity?
very interesting. interesting indeed.

Amen. That is a true picture of the church we read about in the New Testament!
really? you could fool me. the CC has been doing much more than that and has been condemned by protestants for doing so.

very interesting.

yes, we know the CC is wrong and you are right.

what else is new?
