I googled March For Life and found this. The title of this thread comes from her column. This is from a Salon column writer. Boy some pro-choice activists frighten me! Here’s a snippet;
“Yet I know that throughout my own pregnancies, I never wavered for a moment in the belief that I was carrying a human life inside of me. I believe that’s what a fetus is: a human life. And that doesn’t make me one iota less solidly pro-choice.”
And then this gem;
“Here’s the complicated reality in which we live: All life is not equal. That’s a difficult thing for liberals like me to talk about, lest we wind up looking like death-panel-loving, kill-your-grandma-and-your-precious-baby storm troopers. Yet a fetus can be a human life without having the same rights as the woman in whose body it resides. She’s the boss. Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous entity inside of her. Always.”
Is it me or do others get a chill from this brutal callousness? We need to pray for her and like minded people!..Read the rest here;

What’s scary is that the very same words can be applied to newborns or infants or toddlers: To rewrite her phrase somewhat: “Yet a child can be a human life without having the same rights as the woman in whose home it resides. She’s the boss. Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous entity dependent on her. Always.”

Yes it is frightening…and more than that…it is very sad.

Peace
James

Statements such as the above always make me wonder how broken a human being one must be to think this way.

I would like to believe this article was written with the authors’ tongue firmly planted in her cheek,if she is seriously trying to be real,she is one messed up person.So much of this article smacks of contradictions,ie: "a fetus is a person,to the indefensible forcing of ultrasounds…:eek::(:mad::confused::eek:

Let’s re-write this a few different ways with the words:
  • Old person
  • Disabled person
  • Sick person
  • Poor person
  • Person of colour
  • Homosexual
  • Woman
  • Protestant
  • Muslim
  • Jew
  • Catholic
instead of fetus.

This is frightening and sad, but it is Salon we’re talking about. Salon is one of the most extreme publications around the web. It horrifies me that this woman thinks that some life is less valuable than her own.

I can see no reason how anyone could justify abortion. Sure, if the woman is mentally ill and being pregnant could lead her to commit suicide or hurt herself, then it becomes an option. But abortion for convenience? No.

What makes this even more sick and disgusting is that this person is saying that she KNOWS that the fetus is an individual human being. Something that is alive, something that is growing and developing and yet still she would have an abortion.

Disgusting.

A couple days ago Michael Voris did a “Vortex” episode about this and included a copy of this woman’s article. I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I read. How sick can a person be to merely shrug off the death of a human life even if that life is still in the womb? Here is a link to this Vortex Admitting the Lie! 01-25, churchmilitant.tv.

Yes, whenever there is a denial of human rights, there is always a ‘Boss’. The title might change, Führer, ‘Massa’, Comrade Chairman. And that it their country, their plantation. And the excuse might vary as well.

But the result is the same. People die because they are inconvenient to the Boss

Exactly - it is a power issue. And who has the least power? The unborn child. But should it be that way in America? What happened to the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?

Not only this but GOD is the real “Boss.” regardless of what people think:thumbsup:

It appears those things have been flushed down the proverbial “toilet”

I would like to believe that as well but then she says this;
“And I can say anecdotally that I’m a mom who loved the lives she incubated from the moment she peed on those sticks, and is also now well over 40 and in an experimental drug trial.*** If by some random fluke I learned today I was pregnant, you bet your *** I’d have an abortion. I’d have the World’s Greatest Abortion”***.
And then after that she says this;
“And I would put the life of a mother over the life of a fetus every single time — even if I still need to acknowledge my conviction that the fetus is indeed a life. A life worth sacrificing.”
It bothers me to say it but I think she pretty much means what she’s saying here. And that to me is deeply troubling indeed!

Her writing has such a "in your face " tone to it,pretty sick.😦

That’s what Salon is pretty much known for. Being as offensive and shocking as possible, even to their own base. They see shock as a way to stir up their readers.

Doesn’t it, though! I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone who’s pro-choice acknowledge that it’s human life from inception. Has anyone ever heard this? And that’s what’s scary, that she still wouldn’t bat an eye and go ahead and have an abortion and kill the child! 😦

Maybe some of the pro-abortion people will read her article & realize just how sick her point of view is, & start to see the issue in a different light.

The OP is right, this woman & all the others like her need a lot of prayers!
