I love blue color,
Oh, I do not know this blue very light, indeed,😊

I want say O mother of God !O Most Holy Mother is our Mother also!

There are fifteen posts before mine, eight of them are Roselilly, the OP. What’s the point of this post? That Mary is the Mother of the Church? Doesn’t everyone know that already and don’t Protestants also know Catholics believe this? Saying Mama over and over is a bit weird? I’m just not sure what the point is here other than the obvious, which has been discussed, analyzed, debated, and hashed-over a zillion times already in CAF.

I do not know that it is weird to call Mama; but I know that protestant Christian is a Christian and my brother and sister.

Oh dear Mama! oh dear Mama!
Mother, mother !:gopray:

Sorry! I don’t get it! To me, your posts make no sense. What is your point?

Let’s try and clear this up if we can.
  1. I don’t think English is Roselily’s primary language (Just a guess, I could be wrong), since she is from Canada, her primary language could be French Canadian.
  2. Roselily, is there something specific you would like to talk about with Mary, other than just calling her Mother through the whole thread? This is a place for discussion of a topic, and not merely veneration.

^^That’s exactly what I was thinking

Parlez-vous français roselily? Je parle quelque français.

If it’s true that her first language is not English, then I think the idea of this thread is to discuss Mary’s role as our mother.

Si vamos hablar en un idioma diferente que ingles, pienso quo prefiero discutir este topico en espanol en este momento. 😛

Do you know about it already! Dear Mariah! That is English and French both not my first language though I can speak two languages, 🤷…but gurneyhalleck1, I can not speak Spanish also,… and a little fear talk with you

I pity English not first language brothers sisters also,
I do not know, I am so sad! For this thread I hope protestant brothers sisters think Most Holy Mother is their Mother also! I hope protestant brothers sisters think O Most Holy Mother is their mother also ! I think Christians all same. We only have one Father in Heaven.

Oh! My father speak and read write four languages very well, and can read write another two or three languages also but not speak well. He wrote books use two languages about some subjects related to Physics. He is in the middle of one book now.
I am proud of him, but I can not speak English well.😊

I think this is the point of the thread;

🙂
Oj! Very!😃
I want protestant brothers sisters think Most Holy Mother is our Mother and their Mother also. We Christians all dear brothers sisters in Christ!

Because once before sleep I saw Holy Mother, and I think it was not a dream because that at that time I had tears in my eyes,I will be strong.😊
and she said to me only few words: " you belong to Christ, are you ready?" and I said: “Yes! I’m ready!”

She want us believe in God!
Praised be to Jesus Christ !

I want all Christians think Holy Mother is our Mother,
you can think that is I dreamed of it, but I know I did not fell in sleep yet at that night.
Sweet Holy Mother!

So your saying that we should pray to Mary, our mother, because as children we would run to our earthly mother for help and that Jesus said we should be like children. I don’t believe Jesus meant that we should pray to Mary when he made that statement.
If I may interject something here, because this matter is very simple.

Now, we all agree that it is okay to ask a friend or neihgbor to pray for you, right? Asking a friend to pray for you does not interfere with Christ being the One Mediator, right? Okay.

Now, we also all agree that all believers are the Body of Christ, right? He is the head, and we are the body.

Well, here is the rub: Catholics believe that when you die and go to heaven, you are still part of the Body of Christ. You don’t stop being a Christin in heaven. Therefore, just as I can ask a neighbore or friend to pray for me, I can also ask the saints or Mary to pray for me: There is no difference, for we are ALL part of the Body of Christ, joined by Christ who is the Head of the Body.

Now, one hang-up people have is the word “prayer”. They equate “prayer” with “worship”, and conclude that if we pray to May we are worshipping her. Not so. That word has several meanings. Yes, some prayer can be worship, but “prayer” can also mean a request. It is that second definition that is the sense in which we pray to the saints: We are making a “request” of them, and the request is that we are asking them to pray for us.

I hope that helps.

I’ve never heard the Mother of God called “Mother Mary”. Is this a common term? In all my years as a Roman Catholic I had never heard her referred to this way.
Well, it’s better than MaMa.

The Filipinos in a local parish refer to Mary as Mama Mary, implying an active and deeply familial knowledge of her.

Have you read what was being said about this children part and why I said that is not what it means? Now I agree with you that we don’t stop being Christians when we enter heaven, thats a nobrainer. I never said anything about not asking for intercession. If you want to go ahead and pray to Mary or others in heaven.
