yes because they can afford to pay. People lives matter more than others rights to keep 100% of their incomes.

as opposed to not earning enough to obtain it?

Ahh the greed argument. The only reason anybody does anthing is for money. Limit the already high salaries, or simply not keep up with private sector salaries in other countries and doctors will ‘flee’, or give up altogethor and become lawyers.

to teach the sciences in the last 2 years of secondary school, teachers need a masters degree in the subject (where I’m from)

and if a student gets stuck, has trouble understanding something?

Curiosity… I have normal questions anyone would ask…
High school subjects do not require a masters degree to be taught … unless the state certifying folks say so … but it’s not really necessary. High school physics and chem are not rocket science.

in terms of foreigh attitudes towards their socialiozed health care medical systems i wiould put forthe thwe following especially when wondering wheterer they like their sytem,… ASK THEM. t its not ubiversal but in every country you get approval ratings of 70 % or more. cant hardly argue with that.
There is something called “medical tourism” … when folks can’t get care to their satisfaction, they go to other countries.

Also when you do “ask them”, also ask about rationing. And delays. And waiting times for appointments. And availability of MRI and other testing equipment.

In some places, it is common for ambulances to wait for hours to discharge their patients at hospitals … because hospitals must see their patients within a certain number of hours; if they can’t they get written up. Sooooo, the hospitals won’t allow the patients into the doors for admitting until the hospitals are sure they can satisfy the time requirement … pure 100% bureaucracy.

Old people don’t get medical care.

There are delays awaiting critical care for cancer patients.

All sorts of nasty things they (and their apologists in the U.S.A.) don’t like to discuss.

ifmthere are flaws in iour syastem as i tried to illustrate in the email tin whichni talked about taking my daughter to the emergency roo, lets fix them

Actually not – a math teacher needs a degree in Education with some math courses, which is not a masters in math, and a far cry from a doctorate.
and if a student gets stuck, has trouble understanding something?
There are many ways students “get stuck” – for example, doing homework. Teachers often do not know the student is “stuck” until after the fact. It’s difficult for them to develop remediation stragtegies for each student, and they often do not have the time.

A good CAI course knows the instant the student makes a mistake, analyzes the mistake, compares it with the student’s record to date, and segues the student into a remedation module.

You can have 20 students taking the same lesson, but find each student’s experience is unique – because the lesson adapts for each student’s strengths and weaknesses.
Curiosity… I have normal questions anyone would ask…
Most people wouldn’t ask questions like those – since most people with any experience of CAI would understand how the systems work.

While I feel somewhat obligated to be a Good Samritan, I am leery of my government confiscating taxes for another jobs program.

That being said, I still think our current system is worse. Legal, insurance, accounting and adminstration costs bloat the cost of healthcare. Simple procedures further are more costly simply because of cost shifting by providers. It is easier to collect 1,000 $1000 procedures than 2 500,000 procedures. Write-offs, bad debts, collection fees all further bloat the system.

We have a population of fat Americans who are not physically fit, eat terrible, get no exercise, watch tv and play video games. How many teens today can do 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and even one pull-up? Diet cokes, pizza, hot dogs, doritos, where is the nutrition?

We have a government that subsidizes tobacco farmers? Why but to create a commodity to tax? We have governments that provide lotteries, allow business to “entertain customers” and other endless lists of tax preferences?

We are lazy and gettting lazier every day, fatter every day and dumber. Math and science scores way down. But when we get to the point where corporate healthcare just is not affordable anymore and we have to give it to our ridiculous government?

I say let’s all do a rosary every day for healthcare reform not only the indegent but top shelf quality care at Wal-mart pricing and excellent delivery. Give scholarships to students in science in medicine so when they come out of medical school they don’t come out with 200,000 worth of student loans. Give scholarships to students that pass minimum physical fitness tests. Give scholarships to students that do x amount of volunteer work on an ongoing basis. Invest in the health and general fitness of young people.

Other areas of legal reform would be a “get out of malpractice card” to doctors. One bad case should not put a doctor out of business with insurance premiums.

Tax reform should include some sort of medical provider benefit. Pro-bono type medical assistance funds, where the fortunate like me can give directly to local providers in my neighborhood.

But mostly I think the Good Samaritan is the best example. We all should go out of our way to help, do volunteer work, make a difference, give a little. Heal the sick, feed the hungry, bury the dead.

And target corporate tax cuts to create jobs in the US rather than overseas.

These are the types of solutions I advocate.

What people don’t understand is that socialized medicine won’t fix the issues you outline.

We should fix the issues you outline first. If they don’t work, then we can talk socialized medicine…

Can’t do that – people will come out of the woodwork to scream about “corporate welfare.”
Well it’s alot better than undercutting our revenu for the government by sending th etax cuts overseas. The corporations are getting it too easy right now to shelter their investments abroad and create jobs there while folks here can’t find jobs anymore. Then everyone cries about bad spending. We need a policy in place that encourages the private sector with tax cuts but only if they create jobs here. Then revenue will be generated here ofr the everyone from the private sector instead of the government.

Regardless, we can’t do that – people will come out of the woodwork to scream about “corporate welfare.” It’s a mantra – sensible measures to promote economic activities are not politically correct.

The Republic of Ireland cut the Corporation Tax to 12% – and sucked businesses and jobs out of the rest of the European Union. Ireland is booming.

The French were outraged: “Zut! Alors! Eet ees unfair, zees tax!”

And the Irish said, “Sure an’ yer right! We only charge 10% on the income tax. We’ll have to cut the corporation tax another 2%” – and that’s what they did.😛

such cleverness. all these emails advocating exactyly )or close to it) the same remedies that the wealthy, the holy and those in office (either by election or birth) have been teeling us we should accept for how many tohousand of years. it or they havent worked. you are still discussing the same problems that cave men were diascussing, with the same answers offered by the same people. mqaybe its time to put the rosary away and think of something else. pick a problem lets say, something very difficultm, somehthing we had always wanted to do but never really believed we could do say go to the moon or land on normandy. do w for your [problem what we di for those. gather the best minds in the univers availble to work on that proble. right or left catholic or zoarasteran. symbollically put yhem inn a room and say, we have a problem take as long as you need, but somhow come out with what you finally beklieve is the best way to solve that proble, yse the best faculty given to you by god, your ingtelligence and arrive at the best solutuioion you can. nobody expects unanimity or perfection,… perhaps af]ter extensive deliberation you will fingd that this is a problem that cannot be solved by the best that we can throe at it. so be it. but if you come up with a pro=posed solution we will use what you satyu yo go to the moon or to, invade normandy. now wewe know that to do these things will require sacrifice, money, death, many will did guilty in some cases and innocent. many have diesunfotunateely in our attempts to do stupid things, like invade ciountriesd at the whin of a dictator, we for example lost some of our best on granada and also killed a lot of innocent people in the bargain. we know thism may be inevitable but the problwe is serions enough so that we have to believe the cost is worth it. do you veryn best with gods gift and well do the rest.

Do you have Microsoft Word or a similar word processor?

Your posts would be much more coherent if you would type them into a word processor, run the spelling and grammar checker, and clean up your writing before cut-and-pasting them into your posts.

Please leave him alone. If you can’t get the gist of what he’s saying, oh well…

sorry i not only dont have what you ask if i have but i dont even know what they are. perhaps you might want to consider the possibllity as i am rquired to do when i read other peroples mail, that they are doing the very best they can just as i am. i apologize in advance buyt the above is true.

If you have a computer, almost certainly you have a word processor. Get someone to show it to you, and teach you to run the spelling and grammar checkers.

perhaps you might want to try an experiment. do everyrhing you can to wipe out all the information you have aboutcomputeer use. pretend you knpw nothing. go buy a used computerf, because you really want to learn. no instructionmanual, you live alone. etc, plug it in and go to it. you pick up an instruction book at the library and it reads like greek. then t ake all the tryping skills you have and forget you ever had them. a keyboard is a vast desert where one thing looks exactly the same as any other. then ther is the arthritis but ill leave that. perhaps it would be a good idea if we forbade all these kinds of people from usign the computer at alll. after all, what they write is hard to read, almost needs decoding machines, takes up extra time when you try to read it and three ofr four othert bad things. still carefull examination of what is written combnined with a lot of patience might just once and awhile produce from that jumbled meess an idea worth discussing. most likely not . still you have the option, which im sure was th very first thing considered by whoever put computers together… Make sure you have a key which says the reader xcan skip wat us written if he chooses to do so.
