BUMP for Ron!This is not a Protestant vs Catholic arguement. All churches have erred in following the bible.

What about:Jesus said: “you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition… in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:6,9).
1 Corinthians 11:2
Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.
2 Thessalonians 2:15
So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.
2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life and not according to the tradition which you received from us.
We agree, and the Catholic Church has abided by this.Quote:

Note, this is Paul writing in 1 Cor 4. Which, according to you, means Paul should not have written 1 Cor 11:2, 2 Thess 2:15, and 2 thess 3:6 (provided above).Quote:

In a bigger picture, Paul is saying, “don’t go beyond the OT…” which, according to your logic, makes his own writings - and the writings of all the NT - superfluous.
