What if we rephrase the question, how would you guys answer this:
“Is Scripture, properly interpreted, the final authority in faith and life?”
Can’t answer, because you do not indicate who is deemed of authority to make such interpretation.
Rephrase it "“Is Scripture, properly interpreted by those, who in the fulfilment of Christs’s Will of preaching the Good News by authority of Apostolic Succession, and who retain full communion with the Church Christ willed, the final authority in faith and life?”
Then, my answer may be yes, but only after asking a Holy Priest for guidence.
And the thing I really don’t unsderstand about those who embrace Sola Scriptura, is the dismissal of two of the things Christ said that need no interpretation, due to their simple and direct message.
Do this in memory of me
** And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my
church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against* it. ***
He did not say “churches”, and it can’t be argued he meant otherwise, or he would have said “them” instead of “it”.
