No, it means you lack the grace/ability to concentrate at a level that is deep enough so such things don’t distract you.Yes. We do all need to pray for more. One of my most intense prayers is that I be graced with more tolerance.
But that doesn’t mean that I should not be bothered by bothersome things, or that I am a bad person because I am bothered by bothersome things.
See above.See… this is the kind of thing that aggravates me and gets my hankles up: Who said that I don’t pray for peace? Who said that I haven’t prayed for peace? Is that a fair assessment for you to make of me? Is that nice? But yes, I have prayed for peace. And while I take my actions outside of Mass (there is no point in making every one else uncomfortable), there are some actions that I will take during Mass: the finger to the lips to quiet someone who is talking, holding the hand of the person who is snapping papers, holding the hand of the child who is bouncing around on the pews, talking to people before they start their actions which are disturbing during the time between Masses.
So pray for the grace that you not need to vent…And for many of the actions, I won’t say anything to any one at all. But then, I get grief from others to whom I feel comfortable enough to vent to that I shouldn’t have done whatever I did… even when they don’t know that I did anything.
All I can do is base my comments on the content of your own.Yes. I’m angry. But now, I’m more angry at someone who accuses me of actions that they don’t have any evidence that I’ve done, and when it comes in a frilly package called ‘I’m so nice’, yes, it’s very aggravating. I’m angry. I don’t even get this upset with the people who make the noises. They don’t know any better. At least, I hope they don’t. And their actions are not directed towards me nor are they any indictment of me or my character. Still, I do continue to pray for peace and grace, as well as for a tamed tongue and the discretion to say something when it may do some good, and to remain silent when it would do no good.
OKI’m sure you’ve seen this a number of times. I can guarantee that you didn’t see me doing this any of those times.
I think your “translator” needs recalibration or possibly even reprogramming. And again, my translator is buzzing with the, ‘I’ve got grace and strength and you don’t, nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah’ stuff. Your comments are very condescending, to be very frank with you.
?Just as much as those who may come into church and talk loudly and be distracting and not reverant in the church may be an annoyance, it’s not right to say to those who are not so guilty, ‘you’re the bad guy’.
And no, I’m not waiting on any thing that even resembles an apology. I just ask that you not do to others what you’ve done to me. I’ve prayed for, and been blessed with, a tamed tongue in this situation. Others may not be so kind.
