More and more people are leaving my church and it is really sad. First, we had to cut down the number of eucharistic ministers we had and soon the church is going to just have one mass over the weekend instead of three. I’m an altar server and I said a speech a couple months ago to our Sunday school class about getting other kids to become altar servers. Instead of people joining, people laughed and smirked at me. The fact that they laughed at me doesn’t make me sad. What made me upset is that nobody wants to go to church anymore. I really want people to spend time with God and feel close to Him during mass. There are also only a few kids that come to mass every week. If only a few kids go to mass, what will happen to the Catholic church in the future? This makes me worried. I am definitely going to pray I just feel like I should do something more. I just don’t know what else I should do. I’m only 16. Any advice? Is stuff like this happening to other churches or is it just mine?
