i decided a long time ago that the best way to get through adolescence was medically-induced coma.
Image of God,Thank you all. I will certainly take all this information to heart. It will take time to soak it all in. I still feel hopeless, but I am going to try.
Because then you wouldn’t be you. You possess your own unique set of attributes that nobody else possesses. Remember the Joydrop lyric, “I’m not beautiful like you, I’m beautiful like me.”Why can’t I be like other guys?
I went through something like you describe, and I didn’t have a website to express myself and my doubts. The problem is that I don’t have any good friends to talk to. I am a loner. I feel so distant to my parents. It is not their fault, it is just that they are hardly around (always working). I don’t believe I have depression, but maybe I’m mentally ill.
No.I would go a little farther with what the above poster said, and ask what you mean by “like the other guys”? While masculinity is certainly something that men should have, the perverted and horribly distorted version of masculinity that secular society portrays is nothing that any Christian should be a part of. Our culture today seems to be under the impression that masculinity includes many anti-Christian immoralities that it indeed does not. I would ask you to be sure that this is not what you are looking to be a part of. While it may be more difficult to “fit in” if society’s perverse view of masculinity is what it takes, then I want NO part in that. True manhood is found in Christ, so as long as you are trying to follow him, do not worry about how the rest of the world perceives you.![]()
The Golden Arrow Prayer:I have committed sins of blasphemy. How can I be forgiven for that? It seems unforgivable. Finding Jesus is so hard. I have looked and looked, maybe I’m not meant for heaven.
Hello,I have committed sins of blasphemy. How can I be forgiven for that? It seems unforgivable. Finding Jesus is so hard. I have looked and looked, maybe I’m not meant for heaven.
Im an adolescent too and trust me, theres really no need to be sad and despondent.Look at all the wonderful stuff God created!Just give God your life and trust him in everything. It works for me.I think you should pray the Rosary because its really fun and if you concentrate on it you will experience Lecto Divina and not want to sin any more.Hope this helps.Oh and do you like my website?I have so many questions and I asked God to answer them and he doesn’t seem to answer.
Nobody is into the things I am.
I feel so empty inside.
I want truth, but I cannot find it.
Why doesn’t God care?
I feel like I’m on a mental roller coaster.
I don’t understand what is wrong with the world.
Everyone in my life is so oblivious to how I feel.
Why can’t I change to be as God wants?
Sometimes I am angry and sad, but don’t know why.
When I look at me and I look at them, I feel self-righteous.
I don’t know where I am going and don’t know where to go.
Is the Catholic Church really the true Church?
Does God actually will me to be saved.
Why do I yell at my parents?
Why can’t I be like other guys?
How do you pray?
I “sugarcoat” myself in the presence of others.
Why do I feel happy now, eight minutes later feel sad?
Was I really created good?
My mind is filled with impurity.
Why am I so self-concious?
Does anyone even know I exist?
These are only some of the questions and feelings running through my head. I never had these happen to me when I was younger. How do I deal with this confusion it’s causing? Am I supposed to be going through this? Why is this happening to me?
No one else my age seems to be going through this.
Image of God,I have another thing to state. Everytime I pray, I feel like I’m being insincere and therefore lying to the Lord. That is why I stopped praying. It is very difficult to get into the habit again.
I do, but then I think my heart is lying. Why do you think you are lying to the Lord?
Can you try to just talk to Him from the heart?
God bless you!
