These kinds of suits will keep happening, and some judge, somewhere, WILL find that the Bible, and teaching from it, constitutes “hate speech” – and I’m guessing the “Southern Poverty Law Center” is right on the verge of proclaiming that on their own.

The only thing they’re poor in is knowledge of American law.

I am betting it will happen in Canada first.
 
The Southern Poverty Law Center is one of those organizations, like the NAACP, that I used to greatly admire for the quality of their work but has fallen really far down to the point where I don’t think much of them any more.

It is kind of interesting to look at their hate groups map though and see that a whole bunch of the groups are Nation of Islam.

I thought they were extremely liberal.
 
Religious beliefs are meant to be be protected from hate speech and condemnation along with everything else… strangely, you don’t really see much evidence of that in reality 🤷

I don’t have a problem with them being “liberal”, I do have a problem with them considering every three idiots in a basement to be a serious “hate group”. When you flag every Billy Bob out there as a “hate group” then it becomes hard to pick out the real hate groups that one should be concerned about. They basically have been manufacturing hysteria.

I’m not all that worried about the Nation of Islam either. I know they don’t particularly like me, but I never felt like the men in the suits and bow ties were coming to get me in the night or anything.
