I’ve asked about OSAS before, but there’s one point that seems to make no sense. I’m hoping that somone will be able to explain it so it makes sense.
OSAS and murder.
The situation -
A woman accepts Jesus and is born again. She believes, as much as anyone, that she is saved. She has truly accepted Jesus.
The woman hits rock bottom financially when her husband, a ne’er-do-well type loses his job and their life savings because of gambling. She decides to stage an accidental death by setting fire to the house after her husband gets drunk and passes out.
The woman goes to jail and is unrepentant. She admits that she did it, but doesn’t care because the guy was a louse.
The woman is killed in a prison fight, and she dies unrepentant. (We know her mind on this, because the question is about this particular situation–when the person dies unrepentant–not about if we can really know someone’s mind.)
I’m wondering how someone who is assured of her place in Heaven can murder someone and die unrepentant.
How does someone who commits mortal sins and dies unrepentant go to Heaven. We know that nohting unclean can enter Heaven, so how does an unrepentant murder go to Heaven?
If an unrepentant murderer doesn’t enter Heaven, how is it that she accept Jesus and was born again, yet won’t enter Heaven?
If there’s anyone here who beleives that being born again means that they are sure they are going to Heaven, can you please help me understand what that really means?
Thanks.
