Anyone here read The Spiritual Combat by Fr. Scupoli?

I’m reading ‘the Way of perfection’ by St Theresa of Avila and a few smaller little booklets

Yes, I read it many years ago. It contains sound advice. I found that it wasn’t very difficult to read, but hard indeed to always put into practice!

I also read a newer companion volume, Spiritual Combat Revisited, by Fr. Jonathan Robinson of the Oratory (2003, Ignatius Press). It is a good book too.

Thank you for telling me about the companion volume. I am going to buy it. I see it was written by one of St. Philip Neri’s priests, so it must be good.
