It has been reccommended to me that if I cannot receive communion due to being in a state of mortal sin, I may make a spiritual communion.
The material I’ve read about spiritual communion indicates that it confers the same grace as sacramental communion. Since it would be sinful to receive sacramental communion when in a state of mortal sin, I conclude that the same is true for spiritual communion.
Am I wrong?
