Update (if anyone wants to know): I’ve been pretty sad lately and self injured still (nothing major but im doing a lot worse than I was). But as far as depressed, not so much lately. I got to get out of the house, which helps. And I watched a really good movie on St. Bernadette on Saturday night, It really helps a lot for me to just watch things like that and to just not think so much, but just to watch Catholic tv and focus on that. But Im kinda down right now, but not extremely down. So I’m ok. Definitely still in need of prayer though (mainly for my spiritual life). Thank you all so much for being my prayer team, I also have been spending more time with my sister, and talking to her about starting middle school and me beginning sophomore year (im so excited for that). And that definetly helps.

Update: Thank you all for wanting to hear the updates! 🙂 and well today was kinda bad. I just sat around all day and didnt think too much about anything. Until tonight…when the crying and cutting started. I used to justdo it with my nails and lately ive progressed into using a razor. (Thats really bad i know)…but no major damage but its not mild either. But then i had a really good time talking to a friend on facebook (abour when we were little) and i got to laughing and it was fun 😃

And i dont want to complain, but for me (having all these issues and having terrible terrible terrible scrupulositu and ocd) being Catholic is really hard. Going to Confession specifically. Because i do SO much im not proud of…and im so scrupulous that going is just hard because i think literally everything i do is a sin…and that is frustrating…so then i just gave up and havent been in like 3 weeks. I was going to go last week bit i knew i was just gonna keep cutting and doing bad things so i didnt go. I am a failure.

So thats basically it right now. Sorry for the rant. Keep praying for me!! I need it!! Obviously.
 
Dont get me wrong though. I wouldnt trade being a Catholic for the whole world. I feel ungrateful, but i know this is the greatest gift God ever gave me.

Maegan, are you seeing a doctor for this? Maybe your Mom needs to take you in for an appointment. That is what I want to do for my daughter.

As for spiritual things, God loves you despite all of these struggles. He thinks you are just perfect the way you are. His mercy and care for you is infinite. Confess the scratching and cutting every week if you must. Just keep going to Jesus for forgiveness. Have you tried praying when you feel the need to hurt yourself? Wondering if the rosary might help you…

UPDATE::::: Well on friday it looked like things were getting worse, cutting with a razor that night, saturday night too. But tonight i am not. (Havent all day and am going to sleep very soon) and my rcia teacher called amsd checked on me (i missed Mass last night --she didnt know about any of this) and i called her back later today and told her about my depression problems for the past few years. She helped a lot and just having her to talk to helped so much!! I didnt tell her about the cutting though. And she gave me a spiritual exercise: to go through the whole gospel of John and underline the word love everytime i see it. And to write the whole verse, read each 3 times, and meditate on it. So im just going to read the whole book (i almost never read the Bible so this is good for me!!) And i got to John 3:16/17ish tonight. So its going well!! So yay: 1day clean, and over 3 chapters of the Bible read. Im just so grateful to my rcia teacher now. Classes were supposed to have already stopped but all 3 of my lovely teachers agreed to keep helping me! 🙂 (they know i need it!!) So keep praying for me!! And thank u all so so so much!!
