Hey guys! Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I think it is.
So over the course of the past few years, I’ve bought many books, but seldom have read any of them
it is a bad habit only magnified by ADHD. I have made a pact to stop this needless money spending and to finish what I have bought. I guess I am looking to get a very basic reading order down. Right now, I have The Divine Comedy, The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis, The One-Minute Aqunias by Kevin Vost (basically a short summary of the Summa and Aqunias’ teachings), Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, Where is that in the Bible by Patrick Madrid, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Confessions of Saint Augustine for spiritual books that are unread. I’m working through Answering Atheism by Trent Horn.
Of course, I’m only going to know the right answer ultimately, but (name removed by moderator)ut would be helpful. Maybe I can read them in and order that would allow them to somehow build off of eachother? Maybe by topic? Should I read the Catechism all the way through or just use it as a reference guide while I read the other books?
On top of that, I am working through Les Miserables and The Lord of the Rings. And of course, I do from time to time start reading a book of the Bible (most recently I. tried John) without completing it (I have done Job and the Proverbs though). I tend to start reading, put the book down, and pick it up a year later. Curse my low attention span with books.
Thanks!
