I have had nasty retaliation experiences bringing people to the Church after they tampered with demonic stuff…
The priest is right, you need a very good spiritual director. Only a priest who really knows you can offer you guidance.
All we can do is offer support.
I have dealt with many attacks off and on.
I sympathize and will pray for you for what you are going through.
Stay strong do not give up. Suffer not only for your sins but those in purgatory as well. I know it is not easy and can be scary or tiring but this is a short life compared to eternity.
Another poster was correct with Job, just endure and stay strong you know they are there focus on Christ and others in Heaven. We all can all slip and fall but Christ died for our forgiveness.
Deborah Lipsky wrote a good book my priest recommended me to help stay safe. A Message of hope, Confessions of an Ex-Satanist-How to protect yourself from evil. Ask yours what he thinks of it for you.
At this point I deal with various kinds of attacks but not as bad as yours. It is like a tide for me, off and on. Along with other people bringing temptations, misdirection, attacks, or other junk.
I have found with others who were suffering that they would suffer attacks hardest when they prayed or tried to do the right thing.
I am also at this point of looking at joining a monastic order.
As one poster pointed out Padre Pio was attacked often. Awareness of them means you are more of a threat to them, just stay the course like a soldier in a war. Their goal is to push you away, keep your focus on Christ.
Me personally, I try to follow the follow routine as a Byzantine Catholic. I pray the Jesus prayer (Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me a sinner) often mentally throughout a day. At least one daily rosary with other people. I used blessed and excised salt, holy water, and oil for everything from food to blessing stuff. Regular confession every 2 weeks and Daily mass. A regular Novena, monastic incense (I prefer Mount Athos incense), deliverance prayers, and a vigil candle for my icons. I have at least one blessed icon or crucifix per room. I try to limit entertainment to 4 hours a day and while doing it I will repeat a simple prayer (like the Jesus Prayer mentally). Otherwise I try to fill my day with work and prayer combined. Otherwise I work with a Priest who has known me since I was young to advise me on my life.
God Bless and thank you for fighting the good fight
