I have a sister who is SSPX and she goes there just for the love of the TLM. She has framed pictures of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II all over her house. She loves the popes. She is definitley not schismatic. I just tell you this so you will realize that it’s unfair to paint every SSPX person with the same brush. 🙂

Used to clarify but I’m not allowed to use the clarification anymore which is sad because I do hate to paint everyone with the same brush. Unfortunately I’m not going to continuously type “those who go to the chapel who adhere to the schism” all of the time.

BTW, I have little doubt that most who go to the chapels love the Pope. That’s not usually an issue I have with them.

But didn’t you say this a few posts ago: " I just don’t like the schismatic mentality".

Isn’t that a contradiction?
 
Don’t think I contradicted myself but I suppose it’s a possibility. I don’t think I painted everyone with the same brush. There is a schismatic mentality in the SSPX chapels and I don’t like it. I think we all know by now that not everyone that steps foot into a chapel holds this mentality. I’d be happy to use the r-t phrase to clarify between those holding a schismatic mentality and those who do not but, alas, it’s not allowed.

Ahh…so how do you paint your friends that are SSPX? In good light or bad?
