Would you like to see the outcome of the meeting on the 23rd of March result in a reconciliation with Rome?
I voted yes because we should all want sinners to come back into the fold. SSPX will be welcomed back if they admit their mistakes, apologise, are truly repentent and submit to the Pope.Would you like to see the outcome of the meeting on the 23rd of March result in a reconciliation with Rome?
I totally concur with this.I voted yes because we should all want sinners to come back into the fold. SSPX will be welcomed back if they admit their mistakes, apologise, are truly repentent and submit to the Pope.
Am I mistaken? I thought you gave up posting for lent. Regardless, welcome back.I totally concur with this.
Couldn’t take it, went into serious withdrawls, this is my only really intellectual stimulation at this point.Am I mistaken? I thought you gave up posting for lent. Regardless, welcome back.
Hi Marilena,
I would like to see it happen. I have no doubt it reconciliation will happen one day. However, as someone who has supported and followed the Society of Saint Pius X for a considerable length of time, I see any means of reconciliation a long way off right now.
I believe the Society of Saint Pius X would make any attempt at reconciliation easier, if they were more open to discussion with the Vatican. Having said that, the Vatican must show that it is serious about reconciliation. Reconciliation is a two way thing.
Blessings,

Simply ask your diocese where they hold an approved Latin Mass. Then meet with the priest there, and take it from thereReconciliation would be awesome, just awesome. The more I read about SSPX, the more I understand their frustrations and the more I understand why the Church is in the position it is in today. Look at the results, traditionalism is flourishing. It’s clear to me that wherever there is orthodoxy, there is fervent Catholicism. The orthodox seminaries are full and growing. The liberal ones are going the other way. Would love to see every Church with at least one TLM every Sunday. Then watch which mass gets the greater attendance over time. IMO, the SSPX will only help bring people back to Church.
Does anyone know if I can get a TLM for my wedding if my Church is not currently celebrating the TLM? Wow would that make me a happy guy! I hesitate to indulge in such a fantasy.
Dominus vobiscum.

person and I do support their reconciliation. They felt obligated to be apart from the Pope because the Novus Ordo was so disgusting to them and they felt it offended Christ. I feel the same way.
Now that the Church is trying to restore the liturgy, a reconciliation is due and these two socieites shouldn’t see a need to continue existing unless further problems had arisen [which I’m hoping won’t EVER be the case].
As childish as it is, I’d like to hop up and down with a hip hip hooray! for the restoration. Its slowly happening at the Church I attend and I’m loving the Latin and Gregorian Chanting, and other wonderful treasures of the old Mass.
