No.Paul cherry picked verses! have ye a problem with him?
In 2000 years, will people be studying your writings? Will people make pilgrimages to the very places you preached just because you preached there?

Here…Yes at one point in the span of a few paragraphs he pulled single verses from numerous areas, let me show ya here in a moment.
No why would they?No.

Given the ‘gutterball’ approach he seems to take on occasion, you may not want his help. The prooftexting is someting done to an extreme extent from both pro and con roman POV’s. Invite your fundy friend here, I need some help in the defense of our faith…![]()
It was a sarcastic shot.or are you just taking a personal shot? Or what?
Fair enough in regards to the term but fact is he plucked things from all over to make a point. That’s the beauty in the layers and layers of God’s word my friend.Yes, Paul uses 12 OT references in chapter 9, 12 more in chapter 10, and 12 more in chapter 11 (hmmmm…, 12 times in 3 different sections - a numerologists dream, eh?). He even uses the word Israel 12 times during this same span.
I’m just averse to using the term “cherry picking”, which implies that he used only the verses that agree with him, while over-looking the verses that may dis-prove his point. This would cast a shadow on Paul’s writings, IMO.
I never even attempted this, just making a point that all prooftext! your church Paul you and me…If any denied this they’d be lying.Did you really mean to favorably compare your proof texting to Paul’s teaching?
Ok.I never even attempted this, just making a point that all prooftext! your church Paul you and me…If any denied this they’d be lying.
Well, of course, of course I agree! That’s why I call it the “Shrek Effect”!Fair enough in regards to the term but fact is he plucked things from all over to make a point. That’s the beauty in the layers and layers of God’s word my friend.
