Today May 15 is the feast day of St Dymphna. St Dymphna is the patron
saint of those suffer from mental illness and/or nervous disorders.
This is one of the stories that I have for the book that I am putting
together on answers to prayers.
St. Dymphna Cures a Mouse Phobia, (not the computer type)
Leah suffered panic attacks whenever she saw mice. This was a lifelong problem. She prayed to St. Dymphna for help with this problem.
One day when she was standing barefoot on the carpet, she felt a very strange sensation on her foot. She looked down and there was a little mouse running across her foot. Leah realised that she had not suffered a panic attack from the unpleasant experience. From that time onwards she was no longer afraid of mice although she never grew fond of them.
