Today May 15 is the feast day of St Dymphna. St Dymphna is the patron
saint of those suffer from mental illness and/or nervous disorders.

This is one of the stories that I have for the book that I am putting
together on answers to prayers.

St. Dymphna Cures a Mouse Phobia, (not the computer type)

Leah suffered panic attacks whenever she saw mice. This was a lifelong problem. She prayed to St. Dymphna for help with this problem.

One day when she was standing barefoot on the carpet, she felt a very strange sensation on her foot. She looked down and there was a little mouse running across her foot. Leah realised that she had not suffered a panic attack from the unpleasant experience. From that time onwards she was no longer afraid of mice although she never grew fond of them.

I have placed St Dymphna’s story and the address of her shrine in
Belgium on this link:

Thank you God for the glorious life, merits and intercession of St Dymphna, patroness of the mentally ill and victims of child abuse. Through her prayers and ours, bring peace and healing to sufferers everywhere. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Oh man! I missed it and I love St. Dymphna! I love her because I suffer from mental illnesses and therefore she is one of my favorite saints. My most favorite saint, however, is St. Anthony of Padua.
