I am really perplexed by this too. I was talking to one of our priests here in Brooklyn who said that St. Francis Xavier has always been known to promote the gay agenda. Nothing new at this church at all. This priest, who is a Paulist priest, told me that his church, St. Paul’s in Manhattan, is #2 in this area, something he is not happy about. But I don’t understand Archbishop Dolan. I watched the video and he looked perplexed as these 2 gay groups were being introduced at the Mass, but smiled when it was said that they had “returned to the Sacraments.” I’m hoping that means that he thought they have left the gay lifestyle, which, unfortunately, is not what it meant. I’ve seen Archbishop Dolan in person, and he is a wonderful person and very devout, wonderful bishop. Every message I have heard from him and what I’ve read has always been very orthodox. I can only guess that he is working behind the scenes with this parish. At least I hope so.
We have some absolutely wonderful and devout priests and churches here in NYC, and then there are these kind of churches. Sigh.
