Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am currently undergoing the 33-day path to Total Consecration reccommended by St Louis de Monfort. I expect to consecrate myself on December 8th. However, I do have some questions that I would like anyone here familiar with the practice to clear up for me.

I am currently undergoing the 33-day path to Total Consecration reccommended by St Louis de Monfort. I expect to consecrate myself on December 8th. However, I do have some questions that I would like anyone here familiar with the practice to clear up for me.
- Regarding the Act of Consecration itself, must it be recited in Church, or can it be done at home after Mass? Do I need to write the Act down and sign it as St. Louis reccommends?
- Given that St. Louis tells us that we should consecrate ourselves daily after the Act itself, what prayers should we use? Miraculous Medal prayer, Daily Offering to Jesus through Mary?
- I know that many people have questions concerning the nature of our prayer life after the Consecration. Can I just pray to the Virgin without specifically mentioning all my intentions, knowing that She is my Mistress and as such has complete power over my soul, its needs, and its desires? Or is it correct to state that I should, in any case, still pray for the Poor Souls, and for other people as well as for myself, just as long as I bear in mind that my requests are completely subject to her and hence may not necessarily reach the ears of Our Lord if they are not pleasing to Her? If the reader has already Consecrated him/herself, can he/she explain to me how their prayer life has changed compared to before, if at all?
- Wouldn’t praying to other Saints be pointless after the Consecration since Mary is our intercessor and, after the Act, the owner of our souls? Why would we need other intercessors if our prayer reaches Jesus most perfectly through Mary?
