I think this may be a good thing, it wouldnt be life threatening to anyone, it wouldnt destroy any cities, but it would show the world whose in control. Im amazed it hasnt happened yet to be honest, if the SSM wasnt it, I dont know what it will be, maybe something more crazy is coming down the road?!

What Im really curious to see, is how the secular world, the media, all our so called experts will try to debunk these 3 days of darkness…Im sure the media will come up with some goof ball explanation as to why its happening though LOL and Im sure lots of people will buy it hook line and sinker. They will never bring up God though, thats out of the question for them, even if there was video of him descending from heaven with legions of angels around him, they would still say its something else, aliens, mass hysteria, etc. LOL

The bishop in whose diocese an alleged apparition occurs is the one with authority. The Vatican only intervenes if necessary.

The bible says that if those days are not shortened no flesh will be saved… So it seems like it is supposed to get bad to purify the Earth.

The message of Akita is said to be the same as Fatima: turn from sin and do penance as the time of mercy may be nearly over and the time of justice beginning.
This “time of mercy being almost over and the time of justice almost here” keeps being brought up a lot in threads lately.

Do you mind if I ask what do you beleive Jesus’ Justice will be like an what do you believe it will entail?

Why would you feel the need to “tweak” me? That type of condescension is not acceptable in my opinion. Please refrain in the future and keep those thoughts to yourself.Yes I realize in your world there is no right and wrong and everything is OK,but you should respect others especially on a Christian forum.
I wrote that as post hoc analysis, and yes I lied and I apologize for that – sort of. I don’t apologize for you being tweaked, but for calling attention to the fact that I was aware it might have. I will refrain from predicting when what I write is going to give you trouble, because if you have a sense of humor about any of this it is not discernable to me so there is really no point in my protecting you from my opinions except to acknowledge in advance that I am not anticipating your buying into what I’m saying. I apologize for thinking you are so sensitive that you need my protection, while still suggesting that you keep me in a constant state of confusion by your way of evading and dodging question. And let me note for the record, that you did here, too. You did not address the content of my post but only the style so if you’re going to lecture me on posting, then please refrain from making posts which add no actual content to the conversation, but are intended to call me down for my style.

So from now on, I would appreciate if you would direct your comments toward the topic at hand, and refrain (especially on a “Christian” forums) to make ad hominem negative posts about how I post, unless you at least put SOMETHING in your post about the actual conversation. If you can’t do that, then I will choose whether to ignore all your posts and/or block you. (I assume this forum has that funcion, although never before was I tempted to use it – so you are actually very “special” to me.) Yes I am addressing you personally so if you don’t like it, you may report this post as “abusive” to the mods, and let them handle it – meanwhile I’ll try to learn the lessons of Jesus and “turn the other cheek” and quit trying to “fix” you because clearly it is outside my power to do so. Only God can get through our shells sometimes, and I have to trust in His plan whether to do so or not with either you or me. But I still suggest you consider contemplative prayer, which achieves “real union” with Jesus (according to CCC not just me) so that is my last suggestion for you personally. Unless I get tweaked by you again and lose any pretense of self-control like I am here. 😛

Arguing with someone who keeps shifting the focus away from the topic at hand and placing shifting emphasis almost as if you intend to show I am wrong regardless of what I type, reminds me of the words of Jesus in Matt 23:24b, “You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.”

I cannot promise not to tweak you, because most of the time I do I was not intending to and had no idea that it would tweak you so basically if I actually tried to understand your point of view which is like trying to hold a handful of water without a cup.

This time I wrote it to emphasize that there is a human experience that I believe Jesus refers to as “the kingdom” that is not rooted on Christian beliefs but in human nature, made in the image of the divine. This is the True Self that we must find, by getting rid of the “bushel baskets” that cover out Light, that part of us that was made in the image of God.

Then I realized – oh my now she or others will say I’m equating Buddhism with Catholicism, because I compared the religions as if they were pointing to the same truth and Catholics (especially fearful and/or argumentative ones IMO) so I might as well acknowledge it and get it on the table. And as I might have predicted (but didn’t because I tried to fool myself that you would be understanding that I was trying to convey empathy and understanding that you may not agree) you triggered on that and ignored the entire substance. I’m seeing this as a pattern now, so I will henceforth recognize that you have No Sense of Humor, so don’t try to “keep it light” with you. I’m be serious from now on. Here’s my “serious face” just for you: :frighten:

So once again, the “kingdom” Jesus talks about is not based on knowledge, beliefs of particular dogma, or even being a Christian. This is the healthy condition He calls us all to get our minds into, so that we may actually comprehend a taste of what it means to see things as they are as opposed to the way we’ve been taught to react. And since we’ve all been told different stories about what Catholicism really is and requires, if we go “na na not listening” and then shift the topic when others don’t say something we approve of, then we insulate ourselves from the Body of Christ and are trying to go it alone based on our personal biases.

And please, don’t give me some jive about how I’m a nice person, then paint everything I write as problematic – it would be actually useful if you would break open your “tough guy” shell (Caution: I don’t know whether you are actually a “guy” or not so I used the phrase metaphorically) and talk to me on the level and not placating, manipulating, or sending into confusion so that you may scold me for reacting in an “unsuitable” way. :tsktsk:

If you are sorry that I don’t buy into apparitions in general, and that what I hear from them I filter through my understanding and intuition based on what I’ve learned from Jesus and other teachings, and that it is entirely not required by the Church to believe it at all, then I am sorry that you feel sorry. I hope you feel better soon, and I’m apologize for trying to keep it from coming between us. :imsorry:

I was simply saying please do not “tweak”.By using the word it was obvious what you were attempting to do. Please go spread your dogma on a new age forum. peace

cj, I apologize for that last rant. I felt condemned after the twenty minute window to edit or delete was over, so I looked up a couple other threads you were in that I was not already in, and see you from a different angle.

You still confuse me, but it seems like at some point we are working for the Same Team because I saw in the other thread what you alone saw and others weren’t getting.

Maybe we should just focus on addressing the topics and issues in our own way, knowing that we not necessarily understand each other. We have common enemies of falsehood and selfishness and unlove, but we see them from different angles and have different toolboxes and skills for addressing it. But we are both so sensitive to subtle nuances that seemingly go right by most others, to the point that it seems we trigger each other for our differences.

Such as that I do honestly endorse and am happy that you like your visions for the future, such as the reality of the 3 Days or Fatima, for example – if I got that right. 👍

Doesn’t mean I agree… 😃

But yeah, when I “try to be” funny or clever, I’m usually not – like the comment about tweaking you and I’m sorry I couldn’t accept it gracefully. 😦

Now I apologize to the OP for the sidetrack; I post this after the last one, in hoping it will partly cancel out, and the residue of both may be useful to somebody if not us. 😊

I am not sure what it will entail but it will be swift and true.

Jesus said not to believe anybody who says “look there He is”

Why? Because I believe He comes to us from within. That’s where the living water is to come from.

Notice that he said there would be no mistaking it and that all would recognize His coming, but He didn’t actually say it would happen at the exact same “time” for every person.

Einstein proved to us that “time” is relative, by human measures. Of course only God knows its exact nature, but God also is not bound by time – neither what our measurements would call its rate, nor direction.

I propose the idea that everyone sees Jesus at the exact same moment is a human notion, that limits God’s actions to conform to limits of human imagination. If I am wrong, show me where Jesus says that everyone will see Him at the same time. Revelation is a vision so like other saintly visions, it had to conform to the knowledge of the receiver to put it into Human words.

He didn’t even know the “day or the hour” because he really couldn’t have been omniscient since he willingly set aside His divinity and condescended to become flesh; He just knew human nature well enough that he could see things coming. When He was young and in the temple, He spoke with “authority” meaning He was authoring his own words instead of trying to just repeat Scripture. That’s because He didn’t come to obey it, but to fulfill it. So He needed a true understanding of it so that he may be both a scholar, and a human true to His own heart – which is why He was always ragging on scholars. he knew what being a scholar was because he hung around with them. Most of them were too fearful and/or prideful to ever have an opinion of their own “I hate her” as opposed to resorting to external references like “she is a sinner.” The latter can justify punishing her with the presumed mandate from God; the first can’t.

Matt 23:23-24
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel."

And since God is the author of Time, neither is He limited to the human understanding of it. More evidence from not being able to assign seats in Heaven. Yes, He was God, but no He didn’t have full control and even submitted his human will to God, so that He may be truly human. If He had known these things and all the Father “knows” (quotes to indicate as mortal flesh I don’t even know what it means for God to “know” something) then He could have said who sits next to Him in heaven, or when the second coming will be.

He told us a wellspring of life would come up from inside. And that we would be guided.

John 7:37-
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Note He said the living water flows from within us – not poured on our outsides like our earthly baptism. :newidea:

Also note that my children attended a conservative Catholic High School, and they were all taught that the books of Genesis and Revelation are not intended to be interpreted literally. They teach the creation story in religion class, and evolution theory in science. As far as Revelation, a friend of mine took a class in the Catholic teachings on that, and said what the Church teaches is very different from anything he’d heard before. He didn’t detail how exactly, but very different. So I take his advice in not trying to make too much of anything in Rev for myself.

I have no doubt it will it be swift and true but I wonder how it will be swift and true.

I think messages from unapproved private revelations are not permitted so I will just leave it at that.

Many blessings to U2

I’m sorry I must have missed something. :o
I thought we were talking about St. Faustina’s private revelations.

PLEASE don’t put words in MY mouth. I never said anything like that, I was speaking generally about some who do try to have it their way. God Bless, Memaw

Please don’t make it “seem” like I am putting words into YOUR mouth. I was just asking for clarification on what it read like you were insinuating. For what it’s worth, thank you for trying to clarify it.
