SYDNEY, September 26 (CNA) - A priest stabbed at his mission on Sydney’s north-west side last month says he has been praying for his attacker.

God bless him…Our culture is so in need of this kind of example.
 
This sounds so much like our saints who suffered at the hand of their enemies. Didn’t our late Pope do the same for his would be assassin.

Also reminds me of the story of the Amish who prayed for the man who entered their school and slaughtered innocent little girls. The Amish offered financial assistance to the widow of the attacker as well as prayers.

We can learn so much from those who forgive without reservation or hesitation.
 
Wish I could be as good a Catholic as that. Takes a lot of strength to be a humble, fogiving, and gentle soul.
