Well climate change and geocentrism are “worlds apart”—A scientist can get away with being against global warming. but he cannot advocate geocentrism. Are you kidding me???
There’s a huge amount of political and scientific pressure pushing for global warming today. People get ridiculed for coming out against it. Like PUP said, they risk their grant money for taking that stand. But there are hundreds or thousands of reputable scientists of conviction who are coming out against it anyway.

There’s a huge amount of political pressure pushing for evolution, too. If you question evolution, you’re a fundamentalist right-winger. They’re risking grant money, too. But a good number of reputable scientists of conviction who have come out to question it anyway.

Geocentrism isn’t exactly a hot political and scientific issue today like either of those. So, where are all the same kinds of reputable scientists of conviction and courage?

PUP said he knows there are all these scientists out there who secretly agree with geocentrism. If that’s true and there’s all this evidence for geocentrism that convinced these scientists, then he should come out with their names because they’re total cowards to hide something incredibly important to the world! It’s amazing to me that all these scientists admitted to him that they’re basically spineless cowards like that.

We should all pray that all these scientists out there who secretly believe in geocentrism get some courage and conviction. It’s a shame.

You have to be kidding me? Can you see a scientist coming out publicly for geocentrism? He would be the laughing stock of the scientific community.

In terms of the scientific arguments, Bob marshals a great deal of evidence from people, that I suspect, would not agree with him about his conclusions. If he could get support for his theories from other respected scientists, then I might be inclined to listen to what he has to say, but as it is, there doesn’t seem to be anyone who supports his conclusions.

Granted, science can be blinded by it’s own unanalyzed presupositions, but it seems to me that there should be at least some established scientists who support him. And, as far as I know, he does not seem to have any scientific background or training.

As for the doctrinal arguments, I would really like to get my hands on the source material. Does anyone know where I can find them?

God bless,
Ut
imho,it seems to me that for some unknown reason it has not been realised or stated that this was a joint venture by Sungenis and Bennett and it seems is highly supported and recommended by www.kolbecenter.org and other Catholics plus most of the early Church Fathers, Scriptures, the Church and God himself - what more is required ? - twinc

not at all,at least he would not have accepted all the hoaxes, frauds and fakes as true science, what a laughing stock - twinc

That’s incredible. How did you find out about all these scientists who are afraid to publicly admit they’re really geocentrists? If they’re this cowardly about something so important, you should just list them right here so everyone can see their names for themselves. You’ll be doing everyone a real service.

But it is kind of weird that there are hundreds of scientists who aren’t afraid to sign public statements questioning climate change and even evolution.

Like these people:

Climate change: climatescienceinternational.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=62&Itemid=1

Evolution: dissentfromdarwin.org/scientists/

Are there big lists of reputable scientists like these for geocentrism? What a shame that it’s just the many secret geocentrist scientists out there who are too cowardly to do the same.
of course you are reading the wrong books and getting your info from your own selected source - there have been and are many books written by creation scientists and organisations and available to all. There are also many debates and meetings that take place where questions etc are asked and answered etc - twinc

He has many scientists that agree with him. Get his book “Galileo Was Wrong”. There are many scientists that will agree but they will not do so in a truly public forum because they do not want to be chastised by the establishment. Many scientists disagree with the Global Warming theories but they will not come out against political correctness of the day because they could lose their grants, don’t want to be ridiculed, etc. The same goes for Evolution.
That’s extremely easy to say without any proof.

A Laughing stock?Like Creationism!
guess who is going to have the last laugh, certainly not the scoffers as at 2 Peter 3:3-6,as wilfully ignorant.Hopefully those who mock and sneer and jeer will stay to pray - twinc

There have been scientists who have been fired for advocating intelligent design. Could you imagine a main stream scientist advocating geocentrism? Letterman, Leno, etc would have a field day. I am not saying that is right, but it certainly does explain why(seemingly) some simply will not allow themsleves to accept any evidence for geocentrism.

I think discussions between these apologists are very helpful. Reading both men helped me learn a lot. I would like to see more discussions between leading apologists. I thought they were charitable, for the most part, as well.

I think its very interesting when people bump old threads to the top of the page with silly comments to help promote their friends.

I noticed that Mr. Staples wasn’t writing to Mr. Sungenis but Mr. Sungenis wrote on his website like they were having a conversation. That’s kind of weird. :o I’m guessing Mr. Staples isn’t interested talking with Mr. Sungenis?

But bless your heart. You Sungenis promoters put so much effort into such a hard job! 😉

Thank you Brenda. However, you are mistaken (if you were referring to me). I don’t know Mr. Sungenis or Mr.Staples(I am not their friend on any level except in Christ), but I thought the discussion was informative. I am not trying to promote anyone, but God.

🙂 Goodness, you’re being much too modest! You’ve written so many things helping Mr. Sungenis.

PUP is trying extra hard too. Most everything PUP has written is to promote or help Mr. Sungenis.

Don’t be so modest! Bless your hearts. 🙂

But I still think it’s weird that Mr. Staples was writing to someone else personally but Mr. Sungenis answered him and put it on his website like it was a discussion between them. :o But I’ll leave you to your thread now. 👍

I also have always thought a panel discussion would be a great teaching tool. a panel discussion with various apologists fielding questions, and engaging one another.

“There exists no better exposition of the history and science of geocentrism. Very highly recommended and a must for all those interested in the issues surrounding geocentrism today” (Gerardus Bouw, Ph.D., Astronomy)

“In their over 700-page book, Drs. Sungenis and Bennett make a convincing case for the special and central position of the earth in the cosmos” (Vincent Schmithorst, Ph.D., Physics)

“Galileo Was Wrong is a work of monumental proportion which ranks, in my opinion, on a par with the meticulous observations of the Danish astronomer, Tycho Brahe, and the tireless efforts of Walter van der Kamp” (Neville Jones, Ph.D., Physics)

“In their new book, Sungenis and Bennett take no prisoners…Now that the Enlightenment is over, it was inevitable that the system upon which it was based should come in for the powerful critique which Sungenis and Bennett provide. Not inevitable, however, was the brilliant way they provide it” (E. Michael Jones, Ph.D., ed. Culture Wars)

“Sungenis and Bennett examine the anomalies that arise from the Copernican model…A must read for those who can set aside prejudices and a priori assumptions” (Joseph Strada, Ph.D. Aerospace Engineering)

“The book Galileo Was Wrong forcefully addresses the history, science, theological, philosophical, and worldview implications of our place in the universe” (Russell T. Arndts, Ph.D., Chemistry, LSU)

“It is with pleasure that I remand this volume into the hands of the reader” (Martin Selbrede, Chief Scientist, Unipixel)

“Robert Sungenis and Robert Bennett have done a great service to science and to men of good will. Those who see the universe as the handiwork of the benevolent God need no longer be subservient to fairy tales” (Anonymous, Ph.D., MIT);

“Galileo Was Wrong is a model for the kind of scholarship we need today – intellectual understanding not as an end in itself, but as a commitment to reality, infused with moral passion, love for the earth, common sense and philosophical sensitivity” (Caryl Johnston, M. Ed., Jefferson Medical College).

These are only a few. Even Einstien himself did not dismiss geocentrism as false! It would take me 2 hours to type in the names and credentials of others that are in Galileo Was Wrong.
