Here is Wisconsin we have an interesting development in the fight for the family.

It seems our Attorney General may have a conflict of interests.

This is from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal:
Madison - Critics of Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager say her recent speech at a gay and lesbian pride rally taints her ability to represent the state in issues related to same-sex marriage.

But Lautenschlager says her personal beliefs about civil rights for gays and lesbians don’t influence her professional responsibilities or actions.

Lautenschlager’s presence at the July 17 rally in Madison comes at the same time a lawsuit over domestic partner benefits for same-sex couples is pending against the State of Wisconsin. As attorney general, Lautenschlager is defending the state in that case.

Six lesbians who work for the state, along with their partners, filed the lawsuit in April with help from the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, which advocates for individual freedoms. The state employees are asking for employment benefits such as health insurance to be extended to their domestic partners.

You must be aware of the AG’s nickname: Lauten-Gold-Schlager. For all that drinking and driving she likes to do.
