I mean this in the kindest, most charitable way possible, when I say that the above reeks of cow manure. Of course, you know your own heart better than anyone else posting here, but I would very strongly suggest that you consider that you are trying very hard to lie to yourself. I would be really shocked to discover that any person would air their personal troubles far and wide simply in the interest of getting help, and not with the least little smidge of, “But I’m a good person now trying to set it right, and it’s important to me that you feel that way about me also, and also know that’s not my wife.”
When people really, truly want help, they seek the advice of a few trusted people who are competent and will not break confidence. With the arrival of the Internet, you may post anonymously as you’ve done here. But you don’t talk to friends and family, and you don’t smear your wife’s good name to your children, however nicely you say you dressed it up.
