Yes, people do that. Many people have commented on how I go forward when I am in a Latin parish. Head down, arms crossed in an X over my chest, and singing the hymn, if I know it. I pull my hands to the traditional western prayer position as I approach the minister (Ordained or Extraordinary) to prevent confusion.People actually do this?
