OK - truthiness be told, I love Stephen Colbert. And even better - my fiancé looks and acts goofy like Stephen Colbert, Has my kids and I rolling sometimes with his outlandish comments.

My fiancé could be a double for Colbert.

Non. Colbert (originally pronounced Kohl-bert) is Irish Catholic. :irish3:

If I am not mistaken, Colbert is a fallen away Catholic. If Catholics support him maybe he will take a fresh look at the faith.

The guy cracks me up, so I think I may have to support his candidacy.

Nope. I’ve heard him described as a “progressive” Catholic… Here is how he answered a question about his Catholicism:

TONY: You created The Daily Show religious-satire segment, “This Week in God.” How do you square your Catholicism with comedy?
SC: I love my Church, and I’m a Catholic who was raised by intellectuals, who were very devout. I was raised to believe that you could question the Church and still be a Catholic. What is worthy of satire is the misuse of religion for destructive or political gains. That’s totally different from the Word, the blood, the body and the Christ. His kingdom is not of this earth.
