And Stephen Hawking was born on the anniversary of Galileo’s death…
 
Interesting that Hawking is regarded with hostility here – considering that he spent the last several decades as a prisoner in his own body, he could have insulted people regularly and I’d be mellow about it. A lack of belief isn’t a reason to dislike someone…

atheism/agnosticism/secularism have been a blight on western society

i’ve’d very a close relative pass away from ALS

i am very familiar with this horrible malady…

You mean when he was in his chair thing and couldn’t talk or when he was younger? I can’t imagine anyone going to a club with all that machinery…

Oh, I thought there was some moment on his deathbed where he repented lol.
 
The candle flame gutters. Its little pool of light trembles. Darkness gathers. The demons begin to stir.
 
As long as I know or even think that people are praying for me I will pray for him. Probably I would without that knowledge even. We are both sinners. His life was both more public and more difficult than mine.
 
Padre Pio said that you can pray about events that have already happened. So, we can pray the his soul will be saved.
