I was following the discussion on his blog for a while, and there actually was one thing I wondered about. As was said on the site, if the Pope has the power to grant indulgences to people in Purgatory, thereby shortening their stay, why doesn’t he just give indulgences to all of them? Thanks!

Maybe I’m off in my understanding, but I thought the Pope has the power to attach indulgences to certain acts and prayers, and the faithful who do them can apply the indulgences to the souls in Purgatory.

LOL. I think it might be wise, however, to include a text that says something along the lines of:
“Steve Camp publishes pictures of the Pope like this…”
And then link his photos. After that, perhaps, say:
“Stevo thinks that hecan kick God off of His judgment seat, usurp God’s judging authority, and then claim to judge the hearts of men…therefore, there’s only one view left to take…”

Then I would link it on his blog. But then again, I was kicked off of his blog…

For anyone who hasn’t visited the blog, I want to point out that this is exactly what Mr. Camp has done.

Phil…if it isn’t right for Steve Camp to post pictures like that, why do you think it is OK for you?
 
I haven’t seen the blog yet but I’ll head over there in a short while. I am a convert to Catholicism and was an Evangelical conservative for 20yrs. I’ve always liked Steve Camp and have been to his concerts (in the 80’s). I didn’t know he took this view of Catholicism. If he has taken this route, then I can tell everyone that he wasn’t always like this…he needs prayer…
 
After conferring with the Admins I am closing this thread.

Points of clarification:
  1. We certainly are sympathetic to the outrage of you guys about this egregious act by Mr. Camp. Most Christians with any maturity and integrity at all would decry it.
  2. The charity, creativity, & sense of humor that you all have maintained in your responses does you all and the Church proud.
  3. You may note that Camp has replaced the most offensive photo with a legitimate one (another still remains, but it is a bit more subtle and farther down on the blog). We can only speculate as to his reasons, but I don’t think he would have pulled the topic pic if not for the outcry he received.
