Praying for St. Dymphna’s intercession to heal your depression…
Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers as I struggle with my losses. I am thinking I may try to go on an antidepressant to help me cope. I just have nowhere to turn right now. I am alone in my home with no income and sinking spirits. My friends have tried to help, but my sadness hasn’t let up. I truly appreciate the continued prayers from you folks.
 
sojourn, I’m so sorry you are hurting, and feeling ‘‘lost.’’ I have been thinking a lot lately about suffering and how God allows it to pass in our lives. Why does He permit it? I have personally made peace with certain sufferings, because like Jesus, we are to get back up when we fall, and begin again–following Christ’s lead. It is not always easy, from a human view, but God will not let us stay down, if we but allow Him to lift us back up. I will hold you in my prayers…I am praying the Rosary later, and will make sure to offer you up in prayer asking Mary for her prayers for you. God bless. :console:

I’d like to add also, to exercise everyday. It can help us deal with stress very well, in a natural way. Also, I just got through reading the book, Stop Worrying and Start Living, by Dale Carnegie. It is not self helpish really, I’m not really into those types of books, but this offers stories of people who have been dealing with stress and worry, and how they dealt with it, and conquered it. Again, you’re in my prayers. Just wanted to also offer some advice for dealing with stress. 🙂

Dear Lost, I feel your pain as do many of us no doubt who place our trust in other’s only to find disappointment, betrayal. Who of us hasn’t felt the sting of betrayal, hasn’t been disappointed, hasn’t had our love used or challenged. Please, when you pray to ask God for a good outcome, you may be asking something that is not in God’s will. God gives each one of us free will. Your friend had the free will to do as he pleased. He may not only have disappointed you, but he also may have disappointed God. What we do to other’s we also do to God. God no doubt hears your pain.
God is Love and Love is a tremendous energy. What you can ask God to give you is strength so that you can heal and replenish the love you lost. The most painful loss is after all, the loss of love because it’s a piece of ourselves, a connection to God we’ve lost. The grief can be torturous.

God please hear us when we pray. Give us strength to endure the hardships of this world. Give us wisdom, give us understanding, compassion, please replenish the love in the hearts of those who are crying, lonely, hurting, that they can feel whole again and walk again toward your light without fear. .

That you wake in the middle of the night, and no doubt in the morning, and when you go to sleep is a natural grieving for deep loss and regret, and I’m sorry you are going through this pain. I ask Jesus to be with you and help you make sense of it all, and to find healing and balance after the turmoil. Jesus please grant our prayers.

Thanks, but I was just fired from my job for having “poor files” and low outcomes! Not a word about the service I gave those folks. I will have a small bit o f revenge when the agency prints an upcoming story in their newsletter about one of my clients that I visited in a mental hospital and gave him money from my pocket. I never held back from him or any of the others, and that client insists on singing my praises in the story. He even mentioned that I took him with me to daily Mass where he cried like a baby after not having been in years. I would enjoy seeing my ex-boss’ face when reading that story! But, praise won’t pay the rent and I really need to find work that will.
Thanks to everyones prayers, I am feeling better. The medication works like a charm for me and I already feel more relaxed, physically. My neighbor came over today and offered to give me money if i need it. I would never take it, but it restores my faith to know that he would offer such a generous thing. I am grateful as heck for just that little thing.and your kind words and prayers here.
 
I’m sad about what has happened to you. Sometimes the real work can be unappreciated, though not by those whose lives have been blessed by your kindness.
I’m glad you’re feeling more peaceful, but I beg the Lord to help you find good paying work soon. Lord Jesus, please let it be so.
