Loving God,

We lift up in prayer the intentions of your child sojournersolo and ask for your mercy, blessings, and comforting Holy Spirit to be with him/her now. There are many very challenging things going on in the life of sojournersolo at this time, and we ask that your son Jesus may help sojournersolo maintain and grow in courage, faith, and hope in your divine providence, dear Lord. Please help our friend to find employment and remove the anxiety about financial affairs. Please also help to heal the wounds and suffering associated with the difficult relationship. Lord, we offer the following prayer of encouragement for sojournersolo this day:

PRAYER FOR THE PRESENT MOMENT

Dear God,

I spend so much time reliving yesterday
or anticipating tomorrow
that I lose sight of the only time that is really mine,
the present moment.
You give today one moment at a time.
That’s all I have,
all I ever will have.
Give the faith which knows that each moment
contains exactly what is best for me.
Give the hope which trusts You enough
to forget past failings and future trials.
Give the love which makes each moment
an anticipation of eternity with You.
We ask this in the name of Jesus
Who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Jesus please have compassion on those who suffer loneliness and abandonment because they have lost their marriage partners to divorce and cannot obtain an annulment, so remain in a lonely no-mans-land, for the rest of their lives. We particularly ask Your merciful love and comfort for this lonely person.

Have mercy on those who are in this predicament for the remainder of life, even though they long to have spouses and family, and would be great marriage partners and parents. This really hurts, and they can become very depressed…and some can go on to sin due to their inability to bear this huge cross of loneliness.

Where possible please allow annulment and a new beginning, a new happy Sacramental marriage, and family to cherish and raise.

Jesus please give each of them grace to turn to You in their loneliness and need.
Please inspire a caring friend or family to welcome and include them.
Please help hem to find companionship and structure for their lives, serving others with Christian charity.
Surround them with Your light and love,
each person in this situation, especially this our friend.
Thank You, Jesus

Thanks for continued support. My ex called last Sunday and tried to “make up” but I think it was only to try to draw me back in. I didn’t take the bait and the calls ceased. I know this is a good thing I prayed to leve it behind me, but it still brings out the hurt again. With the loss of my job, no car for three weeks now, and sagging spirits, I appreciate all the prayers that are being said more than you could imagine. May God bless you all.
 
Lord, may Your will be done in these two lives.
Please completely grant all healing that You may wish to give.

Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Inspired with this confidence, we turn to you, O Virgins of virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not despise our petitions, but in your mercy hear us and answer us. Amen.
