I am asking for prayers to heal me of the stomach pains I have been having for the past year- doctors don’t know the cause and I am scared. I also suffer from anxiety which I know makes it worse. I pray to accept God’s will but I am scared He will ask for more than I can bear.

Linda, the very symptoms you describe are likely the result of the anxiety. Are you taking medication to control the anxiety? If not, please take action. Fear only increases the anxiety, which increases the pain, which increases the fear, which…

The merciful and loving God will NEVER ask you for more than you can bear. His mercy is acting even now, as prayers will rise to His Heavenly throne on your behalf.

Have you been reconciled recently? The burden of sin produces fear of judgment. The only way to alleviate that is to make a good confession and receive absolution. Your soul will be in a state of perfection at that point, which destroys fear and anxiety.

Christ’s peace be always with you.

Lord God of all creation, look with immeasurable love upon Linda, comforting her against any weakness of faith. Call her to perfect faith and trust in You, her loving Creator. Grant her Your Heavenly healing and may she flee to the solace of Your loving protection. Watch over her, O Divine Healer, and graciously hear the prayers of the faithful, who struggle daily to call down Your mercy upon the afflicted. May Linda find the peace she seeks through immersing herself in Your love. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.

I had my gallbladder out last year and they think I may still have a stone stuck in my duct, or an ulcer, or…?? I am on meds for anxiety and am doing much better with that, but things like this just set it off. I have been to the ER twice with pain and nausea/vomiting. I am an RN so my mind immediately goes to all the horrible things it could be. My imagination is my worst enemy.
Also, I have been to confession but am still struggling with the teaching on NFP…

You are in my prayers, I can certainly indentify with what you
are going through!
 
:gopray: Father God please be with our dear sister. Be with her as she lives out the ordeal of dealing with anxiety. Help her to realize that You are with her through these trial. You are guiding her and carrying her through. Lord, allow her to realize that You would never push her beyond what she can handle and that though it may seem she is getting to the that point let her realize that she is a safe distance from that point. Embrace her Lord and allow her to feel the warmth of Your love.

Sometimes I think the more you know the worse it gets. Sometimes I struggle with anxiety, especially when I know too much about a given situation. It’s hard not to think about it. Hang in there! I will be praying for you.

I am praying for you, and have entrusted you and your situation to the Blessed Mother. I have suffered with both anxiety and severe stomach problems over time myself, and I sympathise. I have also prayed for your doctors, that they will be able to diagnose and treat the problem. God bless!
