Strange & physical reaction to the Eucharist

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I am looking for answers as I experience something I do not understand when partaking of the Eucharist.

You see, I feel a profound devotion and love for Jesus, and my Mother Mary. I love Him more than I thought I ever would.

Whenever I partake of the Eucharist, I experience something I do not understand.

A few minutes before walking up to the Holy Communion, my heart begin to beat fast and I start to weep. Heavily.

Yesterday, my entire body was shaking and my heart was opening. I do my very best to love everyone I meet as He has commanded us to do.
He is my number one and always will be.

Why does my body, my heart react to the Eucharist that way?

I would appreciate any insights.

Our Blessed Lord has blessed you with an intimate and sublime Holy Communion. Give Him praise and thanks and may others see His light through your tears.
 
On this earth our bodies are inextricably bound up with our spirits or souls. Our bodies express our deepest internal dispositions. You’re truly blest with a reaction like that, expressing an orientation and sensitivity towards the Lord-a love for Him and partaking of Him.
 
Sounds like the “Gift of Tears” mystical experience.

Look it up, talk to your priest about it.

I have had this several times praying, reading holy texts, going to mass, or doing stations of the cross.

A quote about it from Fr. Bartunek:

“…it is meant to encourage the person who receives it and those who witness it. In this sense, it can be a powerful stimulant to greater fidelity to God and God’s will in one’s life, a confirmation of good decisions already made, and shield against future temptations. If someone receives this gift, they should accept it gratefully and humbly, but not build their lives around it.”

I don’t have the answer, but if only we all felt that way. I think it’s because you know whom you are receiving.
