Well, you certainly don’t have to be Jewish to like her music. Any opinions on her and recent events.

Well, you don’t have to be a genious to know her outspoken extreme liberal social and political views. So I can’t imagine someone going to her concert expecting a singing performance, and not expecting what she dished out along with it, a political diatribe against President Bush. I mean, she wouldn’t be herself if she didn’t do what she did.

So, this poor guy who thought that heckling Streisand for her politics wasn’t going to get him practically killed by her faithful, well, duh?

It would be like going to a Kennedy fundraiser and not expecting someone to say something against President Bush and the whole Republican manace. 😉 I mean, really, it’s not rocket science.

I, personally, wouldn’t subject myself to that just to hear Babs sing. If I loved her voice that much, I’d get the CD. But I don’t, so I won’t.😃

I don’t think I am alone in wondering when she will have enough money to reallllly retire in stead of threatening. She just keeps bouncing back!! I like her voice but not her politics nor her “personality”. I would not pay for a CD much less to see her in concert.

Love and peace,
Mom of 5

I am getting very tired of entertainers becoming “politicians” and pundits.

Babs should shut up and sing.

She has a wonderful Christmas album out but it’s pretty old. It has a beautiful version of Gounod’s Ave Maria.

Good grief, that woman is annoying. I’ve liked a few of her songs, but that’s about as far as it goes.

Talented, but wildly overrated. By the third hour of Yentl I was praying that the Germans would invade just so we could see some action.

Her religion is not her problem.
I don’t like her music, she’s ugly but her sister who has more talent isn’t;) . Purely personal opinion to which I think I am entitled.

Babs is a typical “Limousine Leftist.”
Supports radical causes, even the Communist Sandinistas of Nicaragua, while she herself lives like a Queen.
That’s a shame,
cuz she has a wonderful singing voice.
I love her rendition of
“Can’t Help Lovin’ that Man of Mine” from “SHOWBOAT.”

Jaypeeto4 (aka Jaypeeto3)

Dont like her as a person and her politics have nothing to do with that dislike, though shes too far left for me.

Shes a great singer, actress and director, but I only like a handful of her songs - I hate the showtune stuff she does.

People are paying to hear her sing, not do comedy, political or otherwise unless she’s billing the deal as a “variety show” and shes not.

Never cared much for her: hypocrit, greedy, selfish.

She di sing Christmas songs one time, and mu first thought was. If one is going to sing Christmas songs, do it because you mean it, not because you want to fake-polite the audience. She is a phoney.

I’ve always loved her singing. I grew up listening to her because my mom was a big fan. I have never cared for her politics though. When I read the story of her screaming at the audience member I could not help but laugh. Could she not see the irony in telling her hecklers to “shut the F… up” if they couldn’t take a joke while her “joke” about the President fell flat??!

Interesting take on freedom of speech they have. It’s funny how the only people who have the right to disrupt and protest any event at any time are those with the same leftist views. All others are told to “Shut — ---- up”.

And come on Babs, how crass is that? She pretends she has all kinds of class and what comes out of her mouth when she gets what she dishes out? Sounded like she had just come from the Springer show or something. Can you imagine a conservative behaving that way and what kind of uproar that would cause?

Oh, that’s right, we’re not supposed to notice this inequality are we?

I think that she’s probably been so used to working in a relatively controlled and studied environment(recording and film studios) that the heckler thing just got to her. She is a perfectionist. Plus I read that they were recording the New York performances for a CD. The heckler probably got into the way of her performing. Of course now they’d need to put some R-rating to that CD if they release it with the bomb.

Personally, I wasn’t surprised that she used the F-word. I enjoy following on her interviews and stuff (though I don’t buy her merchandise as often anymore). In a recent interview, she said that F— was her favorite curse word. Well she went to say more than that. But then again, I guess she didnt realize that not everyone knew that about her.

I also didn’t think it was fair of her to impose her political views on people who were there to hear her sing>ardless of their political stand. People paid money to see her perform…

i don’t like her music very much, and never watched her movies,
i like opera and the Gerogrian Chant, so no, Barbara doesn’t rate
amongst my favorite singers.
