GREAT, and when you do keep these Scriptures in Mind 👍

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.** 1 Timothy 4:1
**

**
But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light**. 2 Corinthians 11:14

For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: **** 2 Timothy 4:3

and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:11
Yes, there are many false prophets, spreading superstitious rubbish:

Dear JimmyDFG & Techno2000 - One thing you will note is that as a Baha’i we discuss scripture of all religions and when we discuss the ills of the world we include ourselves, as we all fall so far short of the standard required. We judge no person spiritually as an individual, as God alone does that.

The Koran also calls us to this very High Standard, to which again we all have not met.

The passage you have posted again is applicable to us all 😊

What I have found in life is if you see in a person some wrong or weekness, it is but a reflection and capability of ones own self. Thus one day what has been posted here will become a test to the person/persons who have posted it, that I can assure you will happen.

So each of us in the future will always face what we have done in the past. A study of all the Holy Books will find this concept within.

God Bless all and Regards Tony

One thing can be said with much truth - Many have been deceived 😉 Now it is up to us to consider if we are part of all the man made deception.

God bless all and regards Tony
What do you believe this “man made deception” is?

The quran and islam goes against what Catholics/Christians believe. That I believe is not a high standard

No…

I’m baffled as to how many Catholics do not understand the context of a post in this thread…
(I sometimes wonder maybe English is not the primary language of many)

.
The Baha’i members are trying to defend false scripture. In order to do this they have to write in an increasingly vague manner as each false scripture falls on top of the previously proven to be false scripture. This makes it very difficult even for the most discerning (acuteness of understanding) writers of the English language to reply to.

Matthew 24:5 because many will come using my name and saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will deceive many.

Mark 13:6 Many will come using my name and saying, “I am he,” and they will deceive many.

Luke 21:8 But he said, 'Take care not to be deceived, because many will come using my name and saying, “I am the one” and “The time is near at hand.” Refuse to join them.

Jesus warned us of people coming in his name, like those in the videos you posted. But he also warned of false Prophets
Matthew 24:11 Many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many,

Jesus came and fulfilled the prophecies. So why is there any need of prophets after Christ. If anyone thinks otherwise they should refer back to Matthew 24:11:thumbsup:

If one scripture denounces other scriptures. Does one still believe all to be correct… or would the other scriptures be half- truths? God speaks the full truth…as Jesus said “Truly I tell you”

I apologize for getting off topic on this comment but here’s an article written by Michael P. Orsi (a Catholic priest) on islam. He quotes from an interview …

"This has been highlighted brilliantly by a man who knows Islamist fanaticism from the inside, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a founding member of the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas. In a recent Wall Street Journal interview, Yousef told of his conversion to Christianity, and his love for Jesus Christ. When asked if he considered his father a fanatic, he described him rather as “a very moderate, logical person.”
****“What matters is not whether my father is a fanatic or not,” Yousef said. “He’s doing the will of a fanatic God. It doesn’t matter if he’s a terrorist or a traditional Muslim. At the end of the day, a traditional Muslim is doing the will of a fanatic, fundamentalist, terrorist God.”

Its worth a read

We are off topic but I believe the article you suggested is very much on topic. I believe it would be an informative read for all participants in this debate. It is an excellent article. Indeed, one of the best articles I have read on Islam and believe me I have read many articles in the last 3 years about Islam and its affects on people and civilisation as a whole. There are also 2 excellent articles along similar lines here on Catholic Answers. Unfortunately, I cannot find them at the moment.

The Baha’i people will tell you that no scripture can denounces other scriptures, it is just man’s poor primitive understanding of these scriptures.

Old and New testaments are scriptures …quran is pretty much a 7th century fiction book. To me the quran is just a dog chasing its tail

Very similar to how Christians denounce the understanding of the Torah by the Jews.
Centuries of Jewish Apostolic Tradition and they were wrong about their own understanding of their own Scriptures.

Surely this couldn’t happen again??

It’s up to you to demonstrate it has happened, like it is up to the Christian to demonstrate it has happened to the Jews. Christians at least convert some Jews however via their, bahai not so much.

It is the Jews that say Christians have deviated from the Torah

It is the Christians that say Baha’is have deviated from the Gospel.

What proof are you looking for?

According to you

I would think its the Baha’i that have deviated from the quran
Baha’i Writings do cite some Quranic verses but we do not claim we are following the social laws and ordinances of the Quran… Baha’is believe the spiritual truths are one but the social ordinances change from dispensation to dispensation.

Back to the Qur’an though… there was recently a few pages from a Qur’an found in Birmingham that seem to indicate the original revelation was unchanged.

None of this is a reference to Muhammad, the Bab or Baha’u’llah 🙂
