[Suburban Philadelphia] Catholic School Teacher Says Gay Marriage Cost Her Her Job

The Director of Religious Education at a Catholic school was in a same sex relationship, and then in a same sex marriage?

What made her think that this could ever be OK? Why would a person living in direct contradiction to Catholic morality think she ought to teach Catholic morals? What made the school think it could possibly hire her? Has everyone gone insane?

According to another news article about the same topic, this particular school community is known for its “accepting” and “progressive” views.

I do wonder when ignorance becomes willful ignorance…

Yes, I suppose that there comes a point where being “accepting” and “progressive” precludes being Catholic and makes it a matter of falsity to call the school Catholic. Moral doctrine cannot be infinitely flexible, and not all things are acceptable.
