Sudan agrees to normalise relations with Israel, Trump says​

US President Donald Trump announces that Sudan and Israel have agreed to the normalisation of relations.

US President Donald Trump has announced that Sudan and Israel have agreed to the normalisation of relations.

Trump, seeking re-election on November 3, sealed the agreement in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Transitional Council Head Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, senior US officials said on Friday.

Trump added that he expected the Palestinians and other nations, including Saudi Arabia, to also agree to closer ties in coming months.

This is all coalition building of Sunni states against the largest Shia state, and they’re willing to work with Israel because its a common enemy. This in the long run is good for stability. It contains the Iranians and limits their ability to be destructive in the region.
 
It’s the year 2020, people need to get along.

There was probably no deal under the deposed dictator, al Bashir, who apparently was an iron fisted dictator, he didn’t like the US either.


It’s actually a miracle what has happened in Sudan, there was reported genocide in Darfur (against mostly Muslims I believe). Very bad situation.

Yeah it’s really the Iranians and the Shia who are destructive in the region. Cough Yemen cough.
 
The Iranians are the number one financier of terrorism, and the biggest threat to regional stability. They were the ones funding the Shia militias that I had to fight in Iraq.
