Dear Moe,
Yes St. Therese is known for roses, however, I asked her to send you flowers (I didn’t specifiy roses). I don’t question the flowers you received, I know they are an answer to all our prayers for you.
**
Do you really — **

As far as the Blessed Mother and our Lord allowing your pain: who’s to say why? Maybe God took her out of this world so that she wouldn’t endure some other horrible experience in her life. There are no explanations.

**Even if we knew … it wouldn’t make it any easier … the pain is so intense … and I see her ‘ghosts’ everywhere and it has been making me so very sad … the last four days have been unbelievably painful and I am not sure why 😦 **

But God did allow his only Son to suffer and Jesus’ Mother also was pierced by a sword (through her heart). You already know all this. All I’m trying to say is that
pain comes to all of us, unfortunately. I, too, have intense physical and spiritual (mental) pain. The ONLY thing that gets me through each day is our Dear Lord. I believe he has put you in my life to give me a sign that He is near me, because sometimes I feel as if I’m going through the dark night of the soul. But I keep hanging in there. It’s all for Jesus.

**I KNOW I am going through the dark night of the soul …. And it is incredibly painful. I looked up the NH Chapter of Compassion Friends and they don’t meet again until the first Thur in September. I was actually thinking of going tomorrow … but now I have to wait until next month … **

Take care and I’ll keep praying!

Thank you Judi … as I for you …. Love Moe - I am so very sad and the pain is terrible

Love,

Judi

[Ahhh Moe! I’m so glad you finally got your dream you’ve been waiting for! I know it’s not exactly what you hoped for, but it’s something. Maybe that’s how God wants you to remember her. He wants you to know that she’s completely innocent and child-like in Heaven with Him.

[COLOR=“Purple”]**But I want her here with us … I don’t want her to be away from us. The pain is too great. And although I do offer it up … it is just terrible not having her with us anymore 😦 I literally- literally ache for her 😦 Seeing her little really makes me uncontrollably sadder than looking at her most recent pictures … **

I’m not an expert on grief and I’ve never experienced anything close to this, but I think the anger with God is so very normal. Of course, you shouldn’t give in to those feelings, but it’s a totally normal human reaction to things that are beyond our understanding. How could we ever understand this? But unfortunately, death is just a part of our lives and we will all experience it at one time or another.\

**I just don’t get it - we worked tremendously hard for our children … operations, this and that … no two parents wanted children more than us … as it is we lost three babies before 12 weeks …. And those losses in themselves were devastating … now this … I just don’t understand it and I am getting really angry. **

But praise God, we have such a wonderful reward waiting for us! The passage in my sig line really inspires me when I’m struggling with life. We can’t even fathom what is waiting for us. For all this pain and suffering we must endure, Jesus has the greatest consolation prize waiting in the end for us.

**I hope so … I really do … I pray that there is a heaven … I have always believed it … and always taught my kids it … but I have anxiety every now and then thinking – My God – please I pray there is a heaven … I can’t not ever not see her again. **

I will pray for God to help you and your family with your anger, and most importantly for Him to give you peace.

**Oh, what I wouldn’t do to feel peace again … pain is there 24/7 … we think of her 24/7 … and it is horrible.

Thank you for caring – praying and reaching out ….

Love Moe**

I can’t imagine what you’re going through.

Thanks Lori K! How is Anthony?

But please know that God isn’t just sitting by at watching you suffer.

But I don’t feel him …. I feel so much in despair and missing her so terribly that it is unimaginable that he could be with us. Like Greg said, why, if he were our heavenly perfect Father – would he let us suffer this way … it is suffering like no other … not to have your baby in your arms … it is horrible. How can he love us and have us go through this torture?
He’s reaching out to you. Through your friends, family McKayla’s friends and I’m sure your entire community. And also a community that we can’t see in Heaven. I wish I could make everything better. But my ways are so far away from God’s ways and in time He will make everything better.

**Mine are too and getting farther away …. **

Dear Moe,
It’s 7:00 am here and I am thinking of you and your family and praying for all of you! Please, hang in there!

I am trying Judi … I really am … please keep praying for us … we miss her - literally with every heartbeat. Went by to see her again before work! I miss her desperately

Moe: I just read the past few days threads and the one from mom5truth who prayed that you would get flowers and you did…well that brought tears to my eyes and much hope than ever for you my friend. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you especially when I go to bed at night and pray my rosary.

Life has been busy lately with school starting and doctor’s appointments, work, etc. I’m thinking about taking some college courses on-line to get my bachelors in accounting. I have an associates in office administration. I need to pray on it since it will take much of my time and have to maintain a C average for my company to pick up 80% of the cost. Even so it will cost me $311 per class…Ouch… LOL But having a bachelor’s degree 80% paid for…well thats great and almost unheard of!

Always prayers for you and your family…

Hugs, Lori

**Good for you. Greg and I did the same back in 1998 … we went to school and finished our degree’s … it was the best thing … and my work paid 100% of it! Mandy doesn’t start school until Aug 29 … it will be very difficult for her - and it very difficult … right now she is heading camping with her grandparents … I really didn’t want her to go … I am so afraid something will happen to her … please ask for safe traveling mercies for them

I will give her a special one just for you my friend…

Moe: Did you guys do your classes on-line? If so how hard was it and how much time did it take of you? I’m thinking about University of Phoenix. Is that the one you used?

Lori

Hi All:

I am desperately asking for prayers from all of you … our daughter McKayla went to environmental camp on this past Monday - and we got a call that she passed out. When we finally drove three hours to see her at the hospital, she had already been commended into the arms of our heavenly Father.

We are heart broken. We had her wake last night - and over 1100 people attened … it was over six hours at the wake … we buried her today — the pain is too much to bear at times.

Please, our Catholic Answers Friends, keep the Geisinger’s in your prayers … McKayla is our heavenly angel that left us for a better place … but we are left with hearts that are broken.

Please keep her Sister Amanda in your prayers … she is only a year older than her sister - they were like twins and best friends. We are beside ourselves.

Her funeral was amazing though … and she has been an instrument in bringing many people to Christ … for this we are grateful.

Please keep the Geisinger’s in your prayers … we miss her terribly and our hearts are just so very sad 😦 Ask God to help us pick up the pieces … our communities and the schools have been amazing and it has been such a humbling experience!

God’s Peace,

Moe Geisinger
Hi, I only noticed this now, and I wanted to offer my condolences.

I will pray the Office of the Dead for your daughter as soon as I can.

Lori
No - we went to the local college … Daniel Webster College. They also took years worked as credits … it was about 18 months of classes one night a week for 4 hours … and a few weekend classes as well during the 18 months. It was an Excelleration Class … not sure if you have it where you are!

Hi, I only noticed this now, and I wanted to offer my condolences.

I will pray the Office of the Dead for your daughter as soon as I can.
**Thank you …so much … what is that exactly?

God Bless you …life is terribly hard :(**

Dear Moe,

I really do know that God has answered our prayers for you: the flowers, the dream. It’s incomprehensible to imagine that God is with you right now, I know.

At times like these (I am suffering intense head pain - can’t move in bed but to write) I know that it is only God and me…no one else. Only He can help. It doesn’t seem like He is, but He is. That’s our faith. We hang on to it with all we’ve got. The dark night of the soul is terrible. I’ve been there and back a couple of times. It’s AWFUL!! But there’s a reason God allows that, too. I know, it stinks. I’m going to keep praying.

God be with you!:blessyou:

**MOM4TRUTH - THANK YOU. Why do you ask if I got flowers lately? Amanda picked a bunch for me on Friday - before her and Greg left for camping … **

**I did have a dream about her last night - but it was a dream when she was smaller … much smaller … like 5 years old. I find myself overwhelmed with looking at her pictures when she was younger … the wave of grief is gigantic. **

Not sure why that is… my dream was just snap shots of her … and she didn’t say anything … and again she was five …

What do you mean by a ‘special perception’? I can tell you the last four days have been very bad … it is like I have stepped backwards … I can’t stop thinking of her - not that I have not a single minute in the 20 weeks … but my grief has magnified … I am just a wreck … more so than usually…

PLEASE KEEP PRAYING … Thank you so much … Love Moe
Hi Moe,
Believe it or not I have just seen this entire post for the 1st time.
My heart is aching for you and your family. There really are no words except for those of love and prayers and being there for you. It is too devastating and too cruel to imagine. Through the unbelievable pain and devastation however I see so much of God’s unbelievable love and comfort through all the posts, all the tears, prayers and love of all God’s people here on CAF. The Lord is surely speaking through the keyboards of all these wonderful loving people that He calls His own.

I wanted to respond as well to the thoughts about St. Therese and how she can and does help us. She has been one of my favorite friends in heaven for a very long time. When my mother passed away many years ago, and after several months, I began to be particularly concerned about her well being in heaven. I started to pray a novena to St. Therese and ask her to please send me a rose or flowers to let me know that she was ok. On about the 4th day of praying this novena to her, one day I was so tired from moving from another state and moving my dad in with us that I laid down on my bed in the early afternoon just to close my eyes for a minute. Didn’t even mean to fall asleep but fell asleep quickly and had a dream about my mom. In my dream I walked across a field of flowers to her house. When I got there she looked sooooooo beautiful. She looked many years younger in my dream, the same way she looked to me as a small child. Her eyes were what stood out the most. They were so radiant and so different, still the same eyes yet younger with a radiant and unearthly beauty. I was crying when I saw her and she told me not to cry because she was really ok. She told me I had a lot of work to do and knew I was grieving but that I didn’t need to worry about her. Well, I didn’t get a physical rose, but I got much much better. I got dozens and dozens of roses and love and peace thanks to St. Therese.

I truly believe the flowers and the dream that mom4truth is refering to that you had, was directly from the intercession of the dear Little Flower. May God continue to comfort you and hold you and your family in His loving arms. I will pray also, (although I am sorry I did not see this sooner, I could have been praying from the get go), that He Bless You and Your family with an abundant supply of His Love, His Peace, and His Healing.

A Parable of the Cross
All the people who ever lived were assembled before the throne of God. They were a sullen lot. They all had complaints, and they began to murmur among themselves. Just who does God think He is, anyway?
One of the groups was composed of Jews who had suffered persecution. Some had died in gas chambers an concentration camps-and they grumbled; how could God know of the suffering they had been through? Another group was slaves-black men and women with brands on their brows, great hosts of them, who had suffered indignities at the hands of those who called themselves “God’s people”-what could God know of their plight? There were long lines of refugees driven from their lands-homeless people who had nowhere to place their heads. And there were poor people, who had never on this earth been able to make ends meet. There were sick ones and sufferers of all kinds, hundreds of groups, each with a complaint against God What could He know of what humans had to endure?
From each group a leader was chosen and a commission appointed to draw up a case aganst the Almighty Himself. Instead of God judging them, they began to judge God. And the verdict was that God should be sentenced to live on earth as a human with no safeguards to protect His divinity. And here was a bill of particulars:
Let Him be born a Jew. Let Him be born poor. Let even the legitimacy of His birth be suspect. Give Him hard work to do and poverty that He might know the pinch. Let Him be rejected by His people. Give Him for friends only those who are held in contempt. Let Him be betrayed by one of His friends. Let Him be indicted on false charges, tried before a predjudiced jury, convicted by a cowardly judge. Let Him be abandoned by His friends and see what it is to be terribly alone. Let Him be tortured, and then let Him die a painful death at the hands of his enemies.
As each group announced it’s sentence on God, roars of approval went up from the throng. When the last had finished, the raucous noise had become almost deafening… and they turned toward the throne. And suddenly they were filled with shocked silence. For where there had been a throne was now a Cross. --Andrew Armstrong

Moe, I think it’s totally normal for your family to be angry with God. He will love you all through it. I’ve been angry with God myself for things so insignificant it pales in comparison. God cares so much for you all, even if you can’t see it through the horror of this tragedy. He loves you and never intended for life to be like this. He will bring you through it.

" O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to you. Hide not your face from me in the day of my distress. Incline your ear to me; in the day when I call, answer me speedily" --Psalm 101:2-3

**Thank you …so much … what is that exactly?

God Bless you …life is terribly hard :(**
Oh, its the Liturgy of the Hours/Divine Office/Breviary.

Its the official prayer of the Church, the continuation of the Eucharistic sacrifice and Christ’s earthly prayers. Because its Liturgy it is deemed to be more perfect than private prayers and devotions.

It consists of several Offices, I guess you’d call them ‘services’ throughout the day. One in the Morning, one in the middle of the day, one in the evening and one before sleep. There’s also another service, that I don’t have, called the Office of Readings on which one is meant to meditate.

These consist mainly of the Psalms, in four weeks one prays the entire Psalter (and many canticles from the Old and New Testament), of passages from the Bible, a responsory, a Gospel canticle and intercessions.

At any rate, I’ll offer a day of these prayers for your daughter’s soul. The Office of the Dead is designed by the Church for intercession for the deceased. Surely the Church knows what she’s doing.

God bless you.

Dear Moe,

Hi Judi:

I really do know that God has answered our prayers for you: the flowers, the dream. It’s incomprehensible to imagine that God is with you right now, I know.

**I know – I see his hand in our lives … he just isn’t helping with the pain 😦 … and why us and KK … It just doesn’t make sense and it isn’t fair … but I know the world isn’t fair 😦 **

At times like these (I am suffering intense head pain - can’t move in bed but to write)

**I am so sorry – how are you feeling today Judi. You suffer from Migranes? 😊 **

I know that it is only God and me…no one else.

****Thank you – this week for some reason has been particularly bad ****

**Loving you from NH,

God be with you!

Hi Moe,
Hi Moe,
Hi T!

Believe it or not I have just seen this entire post for the 1st time.
My heart is aching for you and your family. There really are no words except for those of love and prayers and being there for you. It is too devastating and too cruel to imagine. The Lord is surely speaking through the keyboards of all these wonderful loving people that He calls His own.

**It really has been, for lack of a better word, my salvation these past 20+ weeks. Grieving is such a lonely place … and sometimes it is easier to talk with people who you don’t know … who aren’t so close to the sadness. And people who you can count on to pray for you … truly pray for you. I know when I tell someone I will pray for them, I do …. And continue to as well. **

I wanted to respond as well to the thoughts about St. Therese and how she can and does help us. She has been one of my favorite friends in heaven for a very long time.

**My middle name is Therese … and it is after my God Mother … who has a special connection with the Little Flower as well. I don’t – not yet anyway 😊 **

When my mother passed away many years ago,

**I am so sorry … we buried my dad – 9 years ago Christmas Eve 😦 … **

and after several months, I began to be particularly concerned about her well being in heaven. That is beautiful “T” … I want to have a dream like that about McKayla … I want her to tell me she is OK … My husband just emailed me and said …I used to think life was perfect … and now it has been stripped away 😦 … We always believed we had heaven on Earth …. But now it is hell on earth.

**Peace would be so nice … we don’t sleep … even taking sleeping pills we still toss and turn.

Perhaps the Little Flower showed you this thread …

Thank you for the prayers … it is sustaining us … this week has been particularly bad though …. I see her ‘ghosts’ everywhere.

I was walking with my friend this AM … 3.15 miles … and I told her … KK looked like me; we had the same initials (MG); she and I were the only lefties in our family; and we held hands every night while we prayed at dinner … and my friend said … Moe – she was your reflection … and it is so true. Mandy is more like her dad in many ways … KK was me! Although breathtaking!

I miss her with every breath I take!

Again, thanks “T”,**

Love Moe

I pray for you often.

Wonderful – how long does it take to complete the prayers?

I** am always confused about that … now – if I was the one who died … I would definitely need this … but KK – she was perfect … she went to Mass the day before her death … and Fr. At the hospital gave her last rights … but did she need them 😦 … I am not so sure she did … all her venial sins were cleaned at Mass and she certainly didn’t have any mortal sin on her heart … am I missing something – if you could educate me I would appreciate it. **
God Bless you as well and thank you … Seraph!

God bless you.
