Sudden Death of our 13 Year Old Daughter

We lost our son a little over a year ago. It’s so hard. Two things that grate on my nerves constantly are not knowing what he would have looked like or accomplished if he had been permitted to grow up, and always having to do algebra to give what feels like the wrong answer about the family count–“I have ( X - 1) kids”, or “Table for (X - son + new daughter + me + spouse + anybody visiting), please!”

Yes, you were one of the first ones to reach out to me … and any number minus one is always less 😦

But I want to put an image of a moment in time into your head: One day while playing outside, my oh-so-wonderful-beautiful-huggable boy fell and skinned his knee. All his future skinned knees, papercuts, bruises, and bumped heads, etc all started flashing through my head. I thought, Lord, I would be willing to suffer anything for him not to feel this skinned knee or any other pain like that. Well, now he’s not hurting, and I’m doing the suffering, so I guess my prayer was answered. Remembering that moment has been a comfort and I hope that perspective helps you.

**I am not there yet dranzal, I am not strong enough to be there yet … too much sadness.

God bless Gabrial and your family**

I have a friend who is very taken by the passage that reads “we are given what we can bear.” and then likes to add “I wish God didn’t think so, Much of me.”

My you bear this burden with the fullness of God’s Loving arms wrapped around you and may this time of sorrow be given to you as a testament of God’s glory and how wonderful it is that you are able to share with others the bright light that Mckayla is for God and I will keep you in my prayer that you may be rejoined with your beautiful daughter for eternity.

God Bless you and Keep you …until then

I had this thought while thinking about you today, we being Jason and I believe that we are rejoined with our bodies perfected in heaven and I thought only God knows the Beauty,Joy and splendor of heaven and that Heaven would not be as beautiful and joyous of a place without Children, They are our Greatest Loss on earth and I have no doubt our greatest joy in heaven.

I will pray for the lifting of your sorrow today, please let me know if you are in need of a special prayer intention.

may God carry you safely and gently in his bosom until you are able to carry yourself once more.

That is a nice thought … I just wish I were in heaven and she was continuing her living … she was just coming out of her shell … she had become a young lady … just beautiful; smart; kind; accomplished pianist … missing her is unbearable at times and the grief moves over you like a wave … I know she is fine … I just missh her …

I will pray for the lifting of your sorrow today, please let me know if you are in need of a special prayer intention.

I do need a special prayer intention … desperately …

may God carry you safely and gently in his bosom until you are able to carry yourself once more.
I think all his extra angels are holding us up right now … for surely it isn’t by our own power …

Of course His angels are with you, and your own angel McKayla will always be with you as well.

(sitting here in tears thinking of my own daughters)

My dad passed away several years ago. He always used to tell me that there was no point in going to the cemetary to talk him because he wouldn’t be there. If I wanted to talk to him I should just talk… because he would be with me anytime I needed to talk to him.

Father please hold up Moe, his wife, and Amanda, and carry them for as long as they need. Mother Mary please watch over all of our children when we can’t be there with them. Amen.

I will continue praying for you all in my rosary tonight.

Dear Moe,

THANK YOU for thinking of me and my family at Mass. We definitely need prayers. There is no current medical treatment available for my daily migraines. How am I going to take care of my kids?

I am still praying for you and your family. You are always in my prayers, Moe.

Love,

Judi/mom4truth:heart:

Father continue to hold this family in the palm of Your hand. Amen.

Hold on to one another.

Dear Moe,

Love,

mom4truth

p.s. Does she look like you?:hug3:
