Moe: I will keep praying for you and your family. I will continue dedicating my rosary daily. I so wish I could take your pain away. I’m glad you went to work even if its only for a short day. Getting back to as close as normal as you can will help you in the long run. My sister has a friend whose mother was murdered senselessly in 98 for a mere $800 and it took her a very long time get back to working full time. Before the murderer was caught, my sister’s friend was scared to death besides greiving for her mother. And to make matters worse, her dad had died 11 months earlier by a surprise heart attack. It was nothing nice. Luckily she had an employer who was very kind and understaning much like your own. Fortunately they caught the “serial killer” who was going around our tri parish communities murdering people for money to support his gambling habit.

How terrible … makes you sick!

I am also so sorry for your loss.
I remember reading about a saint who had sworn a vow of chastity to our Lord. Our Lord asked her if she would carry another cross for Him. She said, “Of course, Lord”, and He showed her a room full of crosses of all different sizes. She saw the biggest one and told Him that she would carry that one.
He replied to her that she could not carry that cross as it could only be carried by parents.
I do believe that a loss of a child is that cross, and so as a parent with a 13 year old, I can only imagine what it would be like. I only know that it would be a very, very heavy cross to carry.
But because of my Faith (and I am sure, mine is nothing to yours), there is consolation in knowing that the Christian way in which you are carrying this cross is doing unimagineable good in Jesus’ plan. My faith also would tell me that your daughter is (if not there already) well on her way to Heaven. That is the ultimate accomplishment for a parent, is that they got their child to Heaven. You did.

That is beautiful … I hadn’t heard that … do you know which saint?

**An Excerpt From:

A Grief Unveiled**

But with many Christians, I was pulled away from the humanity of death. I did not know how difficult it would be for those whose theology is more oriented toward the resurrected Christ and his victory over death to appreciate the unfathomable pain of loss, the pressure in my chest that literally made it hard just to breathe sometimes, the unspeakable sorrow that has flooded my heart and mind a million times in those first five months. People wanted me to get on with my life, and I did not want to get on with my life. I wanted to sit with my sorrow. I wanted time alone, I wanted to honor my grief.

I do not know the name of the saint. When I have more time I will try and find it. God bless you.

Hi All:

I am desperately asking for prayers from all of you … our daughter McKayla went to environmental camp on this past Monday - and we got a call that she passed out. When we finally drove three hours to see her at the hospital, she had already been commended into the arms of our heavenly Father.

We are heart broken. We had her wake last night - and over 1100 people attened … it was over six hours at the wake … we buried her today — the pain is too much to bear at times.

Please, our Catholic Answers Friends, keep the Geisinger’s in your prayers … McKayla is our heavenly angel that left us for a better place … but we are left with hearts that are broken.

Please keep her Sister Amanda in your prayers … she is only a year older than her sister - they were like twins and best friends. We are beside ourselves.

Her funeral was amazing though … and she has been an instrument in bringing many people to Christ … for this we are grateful.

Please keep the Geisinger’s in your prayers … we miss her terribly and our hearts are just so very sad 😦 Ask God to help us pick up the pieces … our communities and the schools have been amazing and it has been such a humbling experience!

God’s Peace,

Moe Geisinger
i will prayfor your family:signofcross:

Still here, Moe, still praying…I will offer my communion for you on Mother’s Day.

Moe,
You are being held, figuratively, in our arms at CAF. We are praying for you daily, even hourly. You will make it through this. We love you.
Lissa

I will pray for your daughter as well. I pray that the Lord will comfort you and give you strength during these difficult times.

I wish you knew how much you were loved before you left this world. McKayla had a quiet strength about her … she was beautiful, talented, athletic, and just wonderful … but she was quiet and shy … very independent …. I just wish she knew how so many people love her. I often worried about her because she was so independent …
When my dear friend died on 9/11, I took great comfort in knowing that finally he DID KNOW everything. If we believe that our loved ones (and most especially your beautiful and faithful baby girl) will be with the Lord, than we should take comfort in the knowledge that all the truths of their lives on earth will be revealed to them in heaven. What my beloved friend did not fully understand about those who loved him while he was with us, he completely knows now.

My deepest prayers are with you. I KNOW there is nothing more painful than losing a child, especially a young child. I wish there was something I could say or do, but I know I there isn’t.

God bless you and your family and may your beautiful daughter rest in peace and you will see her soon.

Leah

Good morning Moe: How are you doing today? My rosary is still for you each and every day.

A GRIEF UNVEILED EX**CEPT

The Eucharist is like a laser that cuts through the veil that separates us from those we love. Call the veil time, call it death. It still separates, and the separation is painful. But in receiving the Body and Blood of the Lord, I am one with those who have gone on before me. The more faithfully and reverently I receive the Eucharist, the more real heaven becomes. The veil gets thinner, until one day it shall disappear.

I AM SO SORRY - I CALL THIS OUR OWN PERSONAL 9/11!

I AM SO SORRY

FROM A GRIEF UNVEILED:

Our friends brought us God’s presence and love. They did not solve our problems, as if grief we a problem to be solved. They did not dispense pious phrases. Our friends allowed us to be in as much pain as we were in and did not trivialize it by trying to move us beyond it ….

Truly the best book I have read in almost 8 weeks on grief! Truly the best friends are here at CAF … you posts keep my eyes moving forward and not down! That is huge! I love you all.

Good morning Moe: Sorry I took so long this a.m. but our internet was down. How are you feeling today?

Hugs, Lori

Lori - you are so good to me … you all are.:heaven:

Well, I am at work … my neck is killing me … I slept on it wrong and only cried twice today … but it is only noon time.

We go and pick out KK’s plot tonight at 5:00 pm … so if you could, please keep us in prayer around then.

It will be good when we bury her … I shall be visiting daily.

Have a great afternoon.

Love, Hugs, Moe

Praying for your strength and courage during this most difficult time. May your fear and anxiety be comforted by God’s love, mercy and compassion. May your heart be healed of the hurt and the love of your daughter sustain you and your family. May you find hope and patience and mercy knowing your loved one is in God’s loving hands. God Bless.
