TEELIMTROZZLE:

Thank you … I wish my parish had candles …we would probably go broke …

Amanda, our oldest and best friend to McKayla will be graduating fromt he 8th grade … Amanda’s teachers gave her a bracelet … like a charm bracelet … and on it was a silver heart … one side was engraved with Amanda’s name and the other side with McKayla’s … how wonderful are her teachers … These are the signs that God is with us … just wish I felt him and KK … I feel so alone at times … TODAY was an EXTREMELY DIFFICULT DAY …

I pray God’s Grace is with us tonight …

THank you.

Moe

MGEISING,

I have been following this thread for months now. My heart breaks for you and your family. You seem so strong. I cannot even began to imagine what is going on in your family right now, but I am here in MN praying for you. I have finally gotten up the courage to look at McKayla’s memorial website. It is beautiful as is she. I can see now where you get your strength because she looks like a very strong girl.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss I am in pray for you and your family.

St. Lucy:

Thank you … I am not strong … I am a wreck … I miss her, we miss her … God this is still like a nightmare to us …

Never a day went by that she did not know she was loved …

Her sister Graduated today … and McKayla will always be her shadow in everything that she does in life …

Please I pray … keep us in prayer …

This is from one of McKayla’s First Friend Ever … just breaks my heart 😦

It is her memory of the first day of Kindergarten … so many years ago 😦

It was the first day of kindergarten and I knew no one in her class. Clinging to the bottom of her mother’s shirt to make sure she didn’t leave, the two walked into the tall white building. Inside their were people everywhere, walking, writing, and observing posters tacked on the walls.
Code:
Even more nervous, the young girls eyes began to fill with tears. "Mommy don't leave!" Shannon whimpered.

Her mother looked down at her sympathetically as she spoke "honey I've got to go to work, you'll see me at noon."

Shannon gulped, ready to cry when suddenly a girl her age with beautiful blue eyes and long golden hair was standing in front of her.

"Hi" the girl's meoldious voice chimmed. "My name is Mckayla Geisinger! What's yours?" Her voice was kind and sincere and her smile was bright and welcoming.

Shannon sniffled before replying but instantly felt better by the girls warm welcoming. "I'm Shannon Murphy" she whispered.

McKayla grinned and outstretched her hand "Let's be friends" she chimmed. Shannon waved to her mom and then took the hand of her new friend.

Mckayla led her over to the coat closet and showed her where to put her sweater. Next, she brought her to the nametags where shannon picked hers up and by suggestion of Mckayla placed it next to her new buddy's seat.

The day flew by fast and soon it was recess. Outside, mckayla suggested they go on the monkey bars. "I don't know how" shannon sighed as she stared at the metal bars. Mckayla flashed a smile at her "I can teach you" she cheered and she did.

Step by step mckayla patiently assisted Shannon everyday. Every morning shannon would wake up, excited to see mckayla and to make it across the monkey bars.

After a week had passed Mckayla assured Shannon today was the day, and she was right. Shannon finally made it across and when she did her best friend was waiting for her, jumping up and down waiting to wrap her in a huge hug.

The year passed quickly and in no time at all the girls were moving onto 1st grade and that would mean they'd go to different schools.

The day was a sad one as Mckayla and Shannon linked pinkies and promised to keep in touch.

Shannon thought she might cry, but she knew deep down that a little of mckayla would always be with her, the part of mckayla that showed her how amazing a friend could be.

The girls stayed in touch until 4th grade when other commitments pulled them apart but it was when the two where 13 that they saw one another in the Amherst Wal*Mart. It had been God's wish for them to see each other once more there because one week later mckayla passed away.

Now, shannon and mckayla are still in touch, now closer than ever through prayer and she is in Heaven now, helping God to make everyone as amazing a friend as she was because if everyone was more like mckayla geisinger we'd have a much friendlier world.

Dear Moe ❤️

How beautiful and ever so touching. Your McKayla definately touched people, how proud you must be of that, what a beautiful girl McKayla was and Shannon must be also.

How i wish i could take your pain away… I realise that it is not getting easier for you.

I don’t know what to say…

Lifting you up in prayer, as high as i possibly can. Know you are engraved in my heart and prayers along with McKayla, Greg and Amanda.

I hope a horse brings Amanda lots of joy, love, comfort and companionship.

As always,

❤️

Moe,
I just found this thread and honestly, I usually don’t read these because they are really painful to me. My 10 year old daughter went home to Christ almost 4 years ago. I could tell you of my journey to acceptance, but it would be very different I’m sure.I wish I could take the pain away. I can’t do that, but I will pray for you.
Now, when people ask how many children I have, I tell them 3. I say 2 live with me and one lives with Christ. I say that, because I have finally gotten to the point where she doesn’t feel so far away anymore (and I can say it most of the time without crying now). I try to imagine my daughter wrapped in the arms of Our Blessed Mother singing beautifully to Her (she loved music) . I have had several dreams about my daughter where she has told me that she is happy. I even asked her to tell me what it is like there and she replied “I can’t tell you” in kind of a sing song voice 😉 .
I remember too well being where you are now. It’s like walking through a very dark tunnel. You know that there is light somewhere, you just can’t see where. That light is Our Lord. He is there and you will see it. My life now is totally different from before my daughter passed away. It is still good, but different. I will pray for your family.

Hi Moe: Checking in before the “hot” weekend. I’m glad to hear that Greg had a wonderful Father’s Day. Sounds like he is a great Dad. You are blessed to have such a wonderful Father for your family. I too have a great Father that really kicked up a notch when my mother had a mild stroke in March. He’s the best grandpa to my daughters. My husband is a great Dad to our toddler also. He loves our baby girl and she loves him to pieces!!! Unfortunately my teenager’s Father is a deadbeat. We were married for 6 years and he had and still has problems/issues. She hasn’t seen him in 4 years and I can tell you that she is very embarrassed by him…thankfully he doesn’t live near us… Remember I am thinking and praying for you hun!!!

Hugs from the heat (So. Louisiana),

Lori

You are the best … we are having a cold spell her in NH … I am having Amanda’s Graduation Party tomorrow …another one of those First that hits you in the gut … but you have to do because you do have an angel physically here on earth … KK will be with us, it will just be in spirit … missing her so very much though and trying to understand why this is happening.

God Pless you Lori … thank you for you love and concern and prayers.

Love Moe

Hi My Friend:

It was a beautiful day for her … she had a lot of fun. We even got a family softball game going …

Thank you - and I am sure your prayers worked … I only broke down a couple of times … (away from Mandy).

We all gathered to say grace before eating and Greg brought in with him KK’s school picture and said - I wanted her to be with us … just heart breaking … this shouldn’t be happening to us.

The pain is so much at times … PLEASE KEEP THOS PRAYERS COMING … Life is so sad.

Love Moe

Hi Moe,
I’ve been watching this thread for a long time now. I haven’t been able to bring myself to write to you yet. I’m so sorry, I cry for you. Have you read the book of wisdom in the ot? It is helpful. In my prayers, Tim

Moe,
I am praying for you. Tonight at church I will burn a candle for your family.

Thank you Lissa … i am a wreck tonight … went through some pictures of her … and just missing her and aching for her … why did this happen to us ??? We are a faithful couple who wanted their children … who prayed for their children; who worked for their children …

I am in despair 😦

I have been reading lots … but it doesn’t fill the cavity of the pain … of not having her with us … and people just don’t understand 😦 … that is the hardest part of it all 😦

I’m sorry Moe,
My wife and 9 y.o.son has HCM (a geneic heart defect). I would loose it if something happened to them. We took a CPR/AED class just in case, but I know if something did happened, it would be quick and not much anyone could do. What you are going through is my greatest nightmare. I wish I could help you out of this, but I know only God and time can do this. I have 3 deaths that really bother me. I see their dead bodies in my mind alot. Going to counseling only helps in that I can let it out. But I know the Dr. doesn’t understand. It’s frustrating. At times, it feels like there is only me and God in the universe and I’m mad at him. It’s a symptom of PTSD. Try not to let yourself be alienated. Keep talking, with love, Tim

I was thinking, how could I answer this? I’m far from able, I have neither the years nor the experience in suffering to really relate to you on a direct level. I have just prayed for you and your daughter, and I will do my best to keep these intentions in my prayers.

My first thoughts were to Job-- he plumbs the depths of the mystery of human suffering and God’s providence. But, as I’ve read Alvin Plantinga (a philosopher) say, when people are suffering, they don’t want reasoning about why they are suffering-- quite simply, as you’ve said, hollow reasoning cannot fill a cavity or void. I’ll save you the reasoning about why suffering and pain happen.

But it did occur to me that the great mystery of human suffering becomes inextricably intertwined with the great mystery of God, Who Himself chose to suffer out of love for us. The Cross reaches down and becomes the Key which unlocks the mystery of human suffering. We have a God Who wept over the death of Lazarus, who endured pain and humiliation, and Who Himself suffered and died.

Somehow the infinite and the finite meet, shattering both our preconceptions about what the Divine is and death itself (“because it was impossible for him to be held by it”). So somehow, and I don’t know how, suffering ends up only making sense in reference to the God-Man who Himself suffered, and ultimately triumphed over suffering and death.

You mention that you are despairing. Perhaps the book of Wisdom… Job… any such things just are the wrong thing. Where there is despair, look for hope. Remember the great VICTORY of our God, and look ahead expectantly for its complete fulfillment. There are few things in Scripture as which I find as powerful as our God’s ultimate victory and our union with Him, which the book of Revelation foretells.

Revelation 21:1-7, 10-11, 22-23, 25; 22: 1-5.
Then I saw new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them (as their God). He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, (for) the old order has passed away." The one who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."To the thirsty I will give a gift from the spring of life-giving water.
He took me in spirit to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God. It gleamed with the splendor of God. Its radiance was like that of a precious stone, like jasper, clear as crystal…I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God almighty and the Lamb. The city had no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gave it light, and its lamp was the Lamb…During the day its gates will never be shut, and there will be no night there.
Then the angel showed me the river of life-giving water, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of its street. On either side of the river grew the tree of life that produces fruit twelve times a year, once each month; the leaves of the trees serve as medicine for the nations. Nothing accursed will be found there anymore. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will look upon his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun, for the Lord God shall give them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.
Our God gloriously refashions the old order, and makes out of it a beautiful, imperishable, eternal order. Behold, I make all things new. As Paul says,* Behold, I tell you a mystery… we will all be changed, in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.* And somehow, after reading these passages, I’m only just starting to understand why John ends Revelation with these words: Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

I can’t wait. Hope in the Lord, he will heal us and our wounds. May God bless you. Come, Lord Jesus!

Oh Tim - I am so sorry … you certainly take life as precious each day - I am sure … I shall keep your family in my prayers, as I pray for a lot of my CAF friends.

I am sorry also for your death of the three you mentioned. Life is so hard, isn’t it?

We are living in hell … we miss her … oh if you only had known her … she was perfection. Almost 15 weeks that I haven’t held her, kissed her, prayed with her … the pain is unbearable … and people really don’t understand … they try … but they don’t because they haven’t been through it.

I have turned into myself … I feel numb and the despair is from deep down in my soul. I have lost a part of me … a part that I don’t know how we can live without …

I don’t understand this cross that we have been given … at this point in my life I believe that We Have Been Crucified with Christ …

Please continue to keep us in prayer … and thank you for reaching out … I can’t tell you how much that has helped me over the past 14 weeks.

I am so lonely … even though I have plenty of people around me … the lonliness is deafening.

Moe
