Dearest Moe,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. How hard this is for you and your family, I can’t even imagine.
I pray for you often.
Love,
Lissa
Lissa you have been one of my angels during the nightmare. Amanda is camping the last two days with her grand - parents … and I am a nervous wreck … she is having some ‘normalcy’ … thank God.

Please have a great day and I hope all is well with you and your wonderfuly big family.

You know I have had three miscarriages (Amanda was a triplet and McKayla was a twin) … do you think the McKayla has seen her brothers and sisters? I often wonder about their little souls and what sex they were and who they might have become. But do you think perhaps she is with them and see’s them … what do miscarried souls look like?

Blessings to you Lissa! Love Moe

Moe,

This may sounds strange, but obviously I got pregnancy on my mind! I was thinking about McKayla yesterday and remembering that you had miscarried her twin and Amanda’s sibs and thinking that she must be having a BALL in heaven getting to know her new brothers and sisters! I hope that you take comfort in that vision. 😦 :o

I** am always confused about that … now – if I was the one who died … I would definitely need this … but KK – she was perfect … she went to Mass the day before her death … and Fr. At the hospital gave her last rights … but did she need them 😦 … I am not so sure she did … all her venial sins were cleaned at Mass and she certainly didn’t have any mortal sin on her heart … am I missing something – if you could educate me I would appreciate it. **
God Bless you as well and thank you … Seraph!

I don’t think we should ever “assume” that a soul doesn’t need the prayers since nobody can judge the state of a soul at death but God. From what you say, we can say that chances are she went straight to Heaven. I’m sure she probably did. But it is still our Christian duty to pray for anybody who dies and offer Masses for them.

But any prayers said for her that she doesn’t need will certainly be applied to somebody else in purgatory who DOES, and I’m sure KK will be thrilled with that. 😉

Hello Stratus Rose - so nice to hear from you 🙂

How are you feeling. I remember my pregnancies like they were yesterday … how I long for those days again 😦

I know - I was thinking about that quite a lot today … what would they look like … of course they were less than 12 weeks old (from conception) … would they have a form ??? whould they know her? I get happy thinking that KK is with her brothers and sisters … and sad for Amanda since she is the only one left now …

Could they possible be together? That makes me very happy …

**You are right masondoggy … I guess it was me having my mother goggles on … my child is perfect etc. etc. We have gotten tons of Mass Cards from people … my in-laws also and they aren’t even Catholic … and they don’t quite understand why we do that … they believe McKayla is in heaven because she accepted Christ into her heart when she was eight … at Vaction Bible School … so they have no use for such things as Mass Cards - but they were gracious about it - which was great. It is hard to understand our faith for outsiders **

Oh I hope so … I think it would be awesome that she was with her brothers/sisters. But I can’t imagine how they would look or if they would know each other … but I guess when you are in heaven you know those things!

**Nothing wrong with having your mommy goggles on! In fact, most likely your right. She was still a child and children that age still have an innocence that we don’t have. Not that a teen isn’t capable of sin, but I don’t think it’s the same thing as adults because of their immaturity. It’s not like they make a “fully informed” decision to do something they know is a mortal sin etc…😉 **

Of course they are together! Don’t have any doubts about that. This is what our Faith is based on, the “Body of Christ”. They are even more “together” in heaven than we are on earth with our families that we live with.

And it is just my opinion (based on private revelation that I’ve read) that miscarried babies would have a bodily form in Heaven. Not the same as a resurrected body, but something recognizable to other souls in Heaven. 😉

Hi Moe,

I am feeling fine! I wish I had the pregnancy symptoms so I would at least “feel” pregnant! But, it’s still really early.

I agree with masondoggy, your miscarried babies have a form, because they did have a body here on Earth, but only for a short amount of time. I bet KK is so happy to know her siblings, she’s probably telling them all about you. :o

She was perfection — we live in a sleepy country town and the girls are never too far from our site … and I often spoke of what could be mortal sin for their age … there is no way she had mortal sin … but … you are right - God is the only one that knows … but I feel certain she is with the angels playing the piano … and just smiling away … my dad’s 77 birthday is today and she is with him … wonder how they are celebrating (although I am sure birthdays aren’t celebrated

Oh I hope so — it make me smile thinking that it might possible be happening.

Oh how awesome … I can’t wait until I see them all together … God willing

Watch out - you will soon get what you wished for!!! And love every minute of it

I hope so … It is so sad without her though … please keep us in prayer from time to time and I shall do the same for you … Happy Pregnancy!!!

I just visited your site…omg, what a lovely daughter…what a beautiful girl. I have followed your thread…but, putting your daughter’s face with all of your words…what can I say? I am speechless, but know that she is in Heaven. How sorry I am, for your loss. I know that we need to follow God’s will in everything…for some reason, this happened. I suffered the loss of my parents as a kid–and it’s the one thing that I have always wondered…“why” about. You are a remarkable beacon of hope and strength…and I know that the Holy Spirit is working in your heart…in your family–I can just see it by your posts here…feel it…sense it.

Anyways, I just wanted to post this. You are in my prayers.❤️

I don’t know, I think Birthdays would be celebrated in Heaven. I mean, I’m sure all of Heaven celebrates Christmas and Mary’s birthday right along with the Church here on earth.

yup, I’m sure KK is celebrating right now, as we speak, your Dad’s birthday and I’m sure the piano playing is much more beautiful on Heaven than it ever could be on earth. 😃

Dear Moe,

Still praying for you and your family, Moe. I’m so sorry for your pain, hon. Hang in there!!

Love,

Oh, its the Liturgy of the Hours/Divine Office/Breviary.

Its the official prayer of the Church, the continuation of the Eucharistic sacrifice and Christ’s earthly prayers. Because its Liturgy it is deemed to be more perfect than private prayers and devotions.

I have heard of it – but I wasn’t sure exactly what it was for.

It consists of several Offices, I guess you’d call them ‘services’ throughout the day. One in the Morning, one in the middle of the day, one in the evening and one before sleep. There’s also another service, that I don’t have, called the Office of Readings on which one is meant to meditate.

**I just ordered a book – FOR THOSE WE LOVE BUT SEE NO LONGER … it is the Daily Offices for Times of Grief … Prayers and reflections for morning, noon, and night. I hoping praying it will get me stronger to continue this journely …. **

These consist mainly of the Psalms, in four weeks one prays the entire Psalter (and many canticles from the Old and New Testament), of passages from the Bible, a responsory, a Gospel canticle and intercessions.

Wonderful – how long does it take to complete the prayers?

At any rate, I’ll offer a day of these prayers for your daughter’s soul. The Office of the Dead is designed by the Church for intercession for the deceased. Surely the Church knows what she’s doing.

I** am always confused about that … now – if I was the one who died … I would definitely need this … but KK – she was perfect … she went to Mass the day before her death … and Fr. Dear Mother in Christ,

Well God can do whatever He wants with our prayers, as any merit we have comes from Him in the first place (I remember hearing it preached that all merit comes from Calvary). If, God willing, your daughter is in Heaven, then the prayers will be used for someone else. No prayer is ever worthless.🙂 I guess if she is in Heaven then the prayer would be a bit like thanking God for the gift of her life to you, your family and all those she touched, the merits of which God could use on whatever intention He sees fit.

The prayers can take a few minutes to pray, if you do it properly and at a nice pace it should be about fifteen minutes for the larger ones. Then again, thats me, a student with a short attention span:D . If you draw it out meditating I can see it taking a while as there’s a lot of stuff there the Psalms and the readings (or is that just me exaggerating?). I can’t promise my estimates are accurate though, because I don’t time myself with them:D

Be careful with what Office you buy, please, there are a lot of less than kosher ones lying around. I’m only speaking out of love and concern, because I’ve seen a liberal office that really espoused a non-Catholic form of prayer. I think in the US the book “Christian Prayer” is really good, it gives all the needed Offices (I’m not sure about Office of Readings) and is really Liturgy because you’re praying with the Church, you might also look up the “Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary” its good, but doesn’t pray the whole 150 Psalms and the cycle is only over a week.

I’m often amazed at how intricate the Liturgy is. One day I’m reading an antiphon for the Gospel Canticle and recognize it as referring to the Gospel of the day. Considering that the Breviary runs on a four week cycle over a year and the Mass is on a three year cycle of readings, being able to consistently match these is a tremendous feat.😃 But thats the amazing part of it, when you pray it properly, its not just your prayer, its the Church’s and you’re in complete union with the whole Church (in Heaven, on Earth and in Purgatory) offering the God the praise He is due. St Benedict in writing his rule for Western Monasticism said that God was in a special way present in the recitation of the Office, he even called it the “Opus Dei” or “Work of God” cause you’re interceding for the whole world.

I just love it.

Sorry, went on a tangent.

God bless you,
Seraph

**Hi Seraph … love that name!👍 **

I guess you are right! He can do what ever he wants and he certainly does~!!!

I was just curious!

Ok … I will keep that in mind … this one seems good – and it is shorter than yours … and it is only for the week and the Apostle Creed is in it – each day. It is great for me … because I am so sad and sometimes can’t think of what to pray for – other than the usual … It helps me and calls upon God for help.

I’m often amazed at how intricate the Liturgy is. One day I’m reading an antiphon for the Gospel Canticle and recognize it as referring to the Gospel of the day. So eloquent … Please keep my husband in prayer … I think he is starting to question God … he isn’t Catholic … but he comes to Mass with us Sunday’s and Holy-Days … from a fundamentalist Baptist Background. I am mad too … but I am not lacking in my faith … I would have been buried with my daughter if that was the case ….
I just love it.

Sorry, went on a tangent.

**No problem! :o **
God bless you,
Seraph

Blessings to you Seraph … as well. Thank you for reaching out and keeping us in your prayers … we need them … they sustain us!

Hi whatevergirl!

I just visited your site…omg, what a lovely daughter…what a beautiful girl.

**She was perfection – beautiful (and her school picture doesn’t due her justice; talented; loving; kind; very intelligent; artistic; athletic; an accomplished pianist … I miss hearing her play every day … I used to listen and tears would come down my eyes because she sounded so beautiful. It used to drive her crazy and she would roll her eyes at me. I cry at beautiful things … and both our children are beautiful creations and we thanked God every day that they were ours … although we didn’t realize for a short time 😦 **

I have followed your thread…but, putting your daughter’s face with all of your words…what can I say? I am speechless, but know that she is in Heaven. How sorry I am, for your loss.

Thank you whatever girl … thank you so much …. I miss my beauty!

I know that we need to follow God’s will in everything…for some reason, this happened. I suffered the loss of my parents as a kid—

I am so sorry … that must have and continues to be very hard. Perhaps they are with McKay  right now … joined through our outreach at CAF.

and it’s the one thing that I have always wondered…“why” about.

You are a remarkable beacon of hope and strength…and I know that the Holy Spirit is working in your heart…in your family–I can just see it by your posts here…feel it…sense it.

**I am a wreck inside though … and I have bad moments every day … but … I have to keep going for my Amanda and my husband … I have to – even though I wanted to be buried with her … life is so lonely … our children were always our life and we lost ½ of our life … it is cruel and we are trying to feel our way through this. I have three miscarriages and I thought that was the only pain I would feel – bad enough … but I guess God has other things in mind 🤷 **Anyways, I just wanted to post this. You are in my prayers.:heart

**Thank you for reaching out … you don’t’ understand how much it helps me to be able to express myself through CAF and through KK virtual memorial site.

Love Moe**
