Congrats to Denver & Manning, glad he’s going out a winner. Great defense!
Yeah can’t agree. We were discussing this at the office today and the consensus was that this was one of the most boring Super Bowl’s in recent years. Almost as one sided as Super Bowl 48 and with even more self inflicted damage by Carolina. The Broncos hardly had to try, the Panthers seemed determined to give them the game.Great game. Horrible halftime. Best team won!
“My team” won
I don’t know what game you were watching but your boredom probably has to do with years of football brainwashing about offense. Carolina’s mistakes were forced by one of the best called and tennaciois defenses in football history. As a player and student of the game with NFL friends, this game was fascinating. Sheer redemption for wade Philips and somehow scoring just enough points to keep the best offense in the NFL from scoring. I thought Denver would have needed 30-35 points to even be in the game at the end. Even I didn’t see that pass rush coming. It was a thing of beauty. It was a one score game deep into the fourth quarter so it was no blowout.Yeah can’t agree. As for halftime it felt like they came up with the show with Coldplay, and then decided they weren’t good enough and shoehorned Beyonce and Mars into it (which by some accounts is exactly what happened). The result was a pretty disjointed mess. About the only thing worth having watched IMO was the national anthem. The rest was a bore.
Halftime was worse now that I have watched it a few times. The acoustics were horrible and the best talent was someone who had done the show before. Coldplay was absolutely a flop. Perhaps the west coast problem of daylight contributed to some of the poorest visual effects ever but the colors and flowers were horrible. Talk about not complimentary to a football game! Way to go San Francisco, you ruined football!Lifelong Broncos fan (before Elway, even)…glad to see such a storybook ending for this year’s squad.
2/3 of the planet is covered by water. The other 1/3 is covered by the Denver defense.
The halftime show was pretty horrible, IMO. From the Black Panthers salute (really, was that called for?!) to the rainbow “Believe in Love” stuff…ugh.
Loved the prior MVPs coming out - living history!
And now, back to hockey season! Go, Kings!
