There aren’t many times in life that it is good be irrational. I can think of many times people are rebuked for being too emotional. What does a person have to lose in life if they are rational, self controlled, calm and critically thinking…a person’s perception can be wrong but facts cannot.
If a person is irreligious, being calm, rational, critical thinking and thick skinned is the best personality to have

Some days I don’t want to care about anything. I want to be happy

I’m frustrated and dissatisfied.
Obviously.

I occasionally feel the same way. It is just a feeling that I cannot let control my life. I have found in my life that I feel happy when I find the core values I believe in, and stick to them. There are days when the clouds are dark, but holding fast to my values and my faith allows me to be a happy person. (most of the time)

Do those who look for their value in others deserve to be hurt? It is vanity to want man’s approval.
It’s not right that they hurt you, but if you base the core of your value on what someone else thinks of you, it will destroy you. Only God can give you that.

Humans are imperfect, thus to seek your value in them is bound to lead to disappointment and possibly some form of idolatry, if not mental illness.

Emotionality generally seems to be a bad thing. Reason Trump’s emotions. There is no such thing as being too reasonable

I think one can be too reasonable if he or she never shows any emotion. To me a lack of any emotion equates to a lack of empathy. Compassion is an emotion. I, myself, am a little afraid of emotion because I like to keep a tight rein on myself, keep myself under control. But I do show some emotion. I think if we didn’t, we’d be like robots, automatons, walking around.

However, I agree that one can be too emotional. Trump’s emotions do seem to get the better of him at times, especially his negative emotions. Some people need to realize they react a little too strongly or a little too quickly.

Forget psychological tests. The best is to be well balanced in life. We should eat well balanced meals every day, drink plenty of water, but not too much, and balance exercise with sleep. We need to balance emotions and logic, too.

Good grief. Are you really trying to compare things to Trump now?

Actually, there is being “too reasonable”. Thats why we’re in the mess we are now politically. People are sick and tired of absolute logic ruling the day. It’s not to say that it isn’t ridiculous that we elected someone who seems to be entirely ruled by emotions but doing the “logical” thing to do has gotten America into a tough spot internationally and even with our local politics.

It’s logical to take money from the rich and give it to those who haven’t anything. It is the emotion that tells us that perhaps we should wait and think things through because we worked hard for that money and the person who is receiving isn’t. It’s logical to set a cut-off but we need emotion to tell us that the single mother in and out of jail doesn’t just need food stamps she needs major help. The logical cut off for a family can be X $ but emotion tells us that the family with a disabled child is going to really need more money, and one with a disabled adult even more so. But logic dosn’t care.

No. Not comparing to trump. I meant reason trumps emotions. My phone capitalized the word trump.
