I looked for a forum to post this in, but none seemed to fit. I wanted to ask how do you all deal with charity support?
I offered to do some fund raising the other day, just by selling some Christmas cards, nothing too special. However, after looking through the list of charities, there are a number on there that support research on embryos, or are members of an organisation that is supportive of embryo research, or are involved with projects that counsel abortion as an acceptable option for pregnancy, and so on.
Some of the charities are among the top names in charities, at least they are here in the UK. Names like Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK, Help The Aged, British Heart Foundation, NSPCC, etc.
I find myself in a postion where I’m not sure what to do. I want to do what I can to help people who need it. But if so many of the top charities are involved in questionable activities, how will I get round this? Do I participate in the fund-raising, or should I avoid? I have an idea what I will do, I’m just curious how others would react in this postion.
Thanks.
